I like the Thomas Jefferson quote that a democracy is nothing more than mob rule. It's what I've been preaching and why we should start calling our country a Free Republic as it was set up.
Democracy versus Republic - there is a difference.
We will see just what Jefferson was talking about with the same sex marriage vote. It is wrong to vote on someone's rights.
That's why our once great Nation was never conceived as a democracy. It was a Constitutional Republic - which guaranteed INDIVIDUAL rights.
Now it is gone.
