Over at the Washington Post, editorial page editor Fred Hyatt wonders about Obama’s lack of passion in supporting freedom around the world, something those of us on the Right noticed long ago, though we might term it derision of freedom
More than three years into his term, it’s possible to assess where the promotion of democracy and freedom ranks in President Obama’s foreign policy: not high.
It’s also possible to venture a theory as to why that’s so.
Mine would include several reasons: he’s incompetent. He had no real executive or legislative experience dealing with foreign countries (remember Hillary’s 3am ad?). His State department is run by boobs with nary a clue. It’s hard work. It gets in the way of golf and campaigning. He doesn’t control the media in those countries, so, he can’t bloviate, pontificate, and lie and get away with it. And, he really doesn’t care. He doesn’t care much for freedom here in the USA.
This was a matter of uncertainty before his election. Not surprisingly, Obama was eager to separate himself from his predecessor’s “Freedom Agenda,” which had been oversold and yoked to an unpopular war in Iraq. Obama talked more about “dignity” than “democracy” and warned that self-government couldn’t be imposed.

Libya and Egypt are quickly turning into extreme Islamic strongholds 6:46. Obama should never ever have spoken out against either Gadhafi and Mubarak. They kept the Islamic terrorists under control.

Not to mention it's mighty funny how you right wing loons expect these countries to conduct the superhuman act of transitioning from dictatorship to prosperous democracy overnight following a revolution. I seem to recall the US being embroiled in all out civil war some 100 odd years following independence.

You can sit here and ask for all the facts you want @8 :35, but they are staring you in the face. First off please inform me on why Obama does not believe he has to prove he is from the United States like every single other President to serve a term, or multiple terms. Secondly it is a fact he vacations like no other. His wife was recently under investigation as she charted a flight to a specific forgien country, that slips my mind, and used the Presidential plane and government funds to basically go on her own vacation. He is always on ESPN during the college basketball tournament doing a bracket which I have never seen any other President do, not to mention being on talk shows as well. And now with a huge investigation following his actual birth records, he could easily come out and prove to the entire world that he is infact an American yet he decides to issue a media blackout on the coverage of the story and act as if it just is not happening. How about you take a step back you literal idiot and just take a look around you. Not quite the America it was before Obama joined the office huh? Jesus what else, does he have to lock you up and take away every freedom possible before your moronic logic kicks in and you decide hey maybe he really does not care about me or us.
