Because of all of the financial problems in the County, Bennett Middle School will be taken off the table until the County can get their finances back in order.
That being said, it amazes me how there is less teen pregnancies, less growth in population and yet the liberals are pushing for $100,000,000.00 schools!
We didn't have tablets, air conditioning and all the technology offered today, yet we got a better education and go figure, we survived. Heck, calculators were just coming into play and frankly I can recall teachers never wanting to see one anywhere near a student. You either did the math on paper or in their eyes you were cheating.
Do you recall the Director of the Library and the Mayor pushing for a new Library in Wicomico county. We recently put up an article showing how, (nation wide) the number of people using the public Library has dropped in massive numbers. Its no wonder they want the homeless there visiting. They have to account for some traffic.
Fortunately because of public pressure the idea was dropped. Well, so should Bennett Middle School. It seems to me that the people here on the Eastern Shore don't just need a brick slammed on the side of their heads, they need cinder blocks slamming them on the head in order to get their attention. THERE'S NO MONEY!!!!! The liberals are stealing everything that is left and don't you dare ever say I didn't warn all of you.
To those people who come on here claiming they want a better education for their children, MOVE TO DELMAR!

You can move! I will vote for education funding 9 out of 10 times. I want our education funded and supported by our community. Like it or not it is an important issue for those with and without children in our community. If you want low taxes and horrible education move down to the deep south or out to Arizona. It is the States job to make sure a
solid education is provide to it's citizens. Wicomico county is at the bottom of the list when it comes to per pupil funding. That my friend is a fact that liberals and conservatives both should be very upset about.
NO! Stay out of Delmar. We don't want those problems here. Keep the county crime and the county problems in the county.
Please, MOVE to Delmar and get the heck out of our county.

We have more trash in our schools than other parts of the Shore, just look at the pictures in the Daily Slime of all the mixed race kids and the information from the health dept re STDS in these kids. If you really want to see where out tax money goes, take a trip to juvenile court here in Wicomico County!

I moved to Delmar, DE almost 2 years ago. I only wished I moved there years earlier. The schools are so much better than Salisbury!!
Leadership SUCKS for wicomico county schools. Get him out and the board and our children may have a chance.
