WHAT MITT PAYS

Want to know why Mitt Romney won’t release his tax returns? Well, one of the reasons is that he probably pays less taxes than you do. As a corporate buyout specialist, he’s made millions of dollars in income from investments, which are taxed at a far lower rate than the wages of regular Americans -- as low as 15% for the richest Americans in the country. That means Mitt Romney pays a lower tax rate than many teachers, firefighters, police officers, and other middle class Americans, a policy he would continue if he becomes President. Use our tool to find out how much more you pay in taxes on your income than you would if you enjoyed the special millionaire investor tax rate that Mitt Romney gets.

Hello idiots.....15% of even $1 million is $150,000. So....he pays more than I do. Also, if he profits from investments, good for him. He should be rewarded. Let's start rewarding providing for oneself rather than rewarding for not doing so.

Another in a long line of libtard lies. Romney probably pays more tax then 10 average families.

Lies, lies and nothing but lies form the left.

Lies? Why aren't you people outraged? EVERY rich person does this. Why do you think CEOs and such only get $1 salaries? Because salaries are taxed at the high rate we all pay, when the rich can get paid in investments/stocks and pay a lower tax rate. It's about the amounts. Everyone should pay their fair share proportionally. If I pay 25% of my income, so should the rich.

If I made that much money I'd do the same damned thing! I have no problem with what he pays. Those who do have a problem are jealous of others. Shut up and work, get a savings account and invest in the right markets. If you can't, then SHUT UP. He pays a fortune in taxes along with most "rich" people.

It has nothing to do with jealousy! Maybe someday we'll see a way for the working man to get paid in stocks/investments for the lower tax rate.

I believe we are all created equal, and our constitution is written on the same basis. We should all be TAXED equally as well. It's not a matter of him and all of the rich investing their money, it's a matter of the upper class finding a loophole and being compensated for their work and time in a way that is taxed less than your average American by taking advantage of the way our financial system works.

I work, I have a savings account and a retirement account. I do everything "right". I just get my pay in dollars and not stocks. You keep on supporting this method of the rich while they get richer and the poor get poorer. The gap widens, and it has nothing to do with hard work. Those with power and money have built a financial system that is beneficial to them and not equal to all. Open your eyes.
