ANNE ARUNDEL, Md. (WUSA) -- Emergency crews are searching for a man after a sailboat overturned in waters off of Sandy Point State Park Saturday afternoon.

According to Anne Arundel County Fire, a 25-year-old female and 25-year-old male were pulled out of the water shortly before 3 p.m. There was also a dog on board the capsized boat. The man and dog are still missing at this time.

This was a local guy that graduated from Bennett. Keep him in your prayers

Both the rescued woman and the as-of-yet-rescued man are from Salisbury and went to Bennett. They have been together for about eight years. Please pray for them and their families at this very difficult time.

The 40 yr old man died at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was unresponsive when the rescue boat got to the Sandy Point Boat ramp. The 35 yr old man and dog have not been recovered as of yet.

They launched shortly before we did. We saw them attempting to put up their sale before we headed south under the bay bridge. By the time the Coast Guard relayed the emergency on the VHF radio, they were no longer in site.

Very sad for sure. Prayers are with the families.
