Many of the things you buy and own were touched at some point by Chinese hands, and those hands are about to get a little more expensive. The Guangdong province in China, the seat of the country's manufacturing might, is going to get a 20% minimum wage increase starting January 1st, 2012.

And that will be the start of the end of their manufacturing jobs.
No they will continue to manufacture. Increase in Chinese wages is good for the US. The more it cost to pay the Chinese worker, the less companies will outsource - more jobs here.
raise a 20 to 30% tariff on any chinese junk shipped into this country and the jobs will come back! try selling something over there and see how far you get. they make every company have a chinese majority share holder in order to do business there. total bs and your congress and presidents are selling us all down the drain feathering their own nests while we the american people suffer, wake up morons!
8:22 I don't need anyone to join anything, I do very well for myself. unfortunately the sheep are being led to slaughter. and no one seem's to care, you included!
This is GREAT news. The only reason that the U.S. people buy so much from the chinese is because their low prices caused by next to nothing labor costs. I have always said that we should charge a tariff to level the playing field, and not allow a country to trade with us if it does not reciprocate. But I am sure that the big dogs in China are not the only ones getting rich off of their slave labor, good ole boys right here in the US are benefiting also.
Higher prices in the United States for goods because it is still cheaper to make thing in china.
Oh no a wage increase in china!!! What are they gunna make now 4 cents an hour instead of 2 cents?
