Some Upset At New York Sex Education

New York (CNN) -- A new sexual education curriculum provided by the New York City Department of Education is raising eyebrows among some parents concerned with the program's level of detail and overall message.

One group, The NYC Parents' Choice Coalition, has been particularly outspoken against the new curriculum and held a press conference Monday to voice their concerns."I know that as my grandchildren, I want them to be able to know that abstinence is an option," Sylvia Laughlin, a group member, said at the press conference. "It's something they have a right to choose."

Duh,of course they have a right to choose abstinence. Education does NOT compel someone to have sex. Do not be afraid of information, people. Be afraid of ignorance and its consequences.
