Does your bottled water taste funny? It's not just that it's probably only tap water. Environmental Working Group rated 173 brands of bottled water based on their sourcing information, purification, testing, and how transparent the information on their label and website was. Turns out, some of the biggest brands in bottled water are, well, a little murky.
Only three brands took high marks, the most well-known of which is Nestle Pure Life Purified Water. On a scale of A to F, where F is failing, the Nestle water got a B. Fiji only got a C, and both Dasani and Poland Spring got a D.
Better work on including more sources in your papers next time, guys! Your bibliography is too skinny.

As long as people are stupid enough to buy water gas will never go down to a reasonable price.
I used to work in the petrolium industry and we always laughed at folks complaining about the price, but would buy water!!!!
Just take a trip to any water bottling plant. Some of the nastiest/polluted areas are where the bottling factories call home. Ask a trucker, they'll tell ya. I still look back in amazement, in the early 90's EVERYONE laughed at the idea of bottled water. Now, it's a multi-billion dollar business here in America.
What does water have to do with the price of gas being high? I worked in the water treatment industry for 5 years and the local water supply from wells that people are drinking has all kinds of crap in it. Nitrates, bacteria, iron, hardness and sulfur to mention a few. Local city water has chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals that local towns inject into the water supply. Bottled or treated water is the way to go and not be drinking a bunch of crap. Nestle pure Life is at Sam's Club for $3.39 for 32 bottles. Cheaper than gas per gallon for sure. Still don't understand how bottled water keeps gas prices high though.
Bottled water is regulated by the FDA by 1 FT and 1 PT person for the whole country. Tap water is regulated by the EPA & state thousands regulators. I highly doubt the above worked in the industry because they know this. Your water supply is safe & clean. Bottled water? Mostly harmless, but way too expensive.
Just remember those plastic bottles please :)
Anon 1:26 I did work in the profession sounds like you dont. If you really want to know the junk in your water take it to any water treatment company and have it tested. There are all kinds of junk in well water like arsenic, nitrates , harmful bacteria. I never said the water wasnt safe just the fact that purified bottle water is better than the crap you get out of you faucet. The Delmarva area is plagued with bad water from all of the fertilizers put on the ground around here and chicken poop spread on all the farmland. If you dont think that gets into the water supply you dont know jack. If you dont believe me have your water tested. You will be surprised. And how do you know whether I worked in water treatment or not. Evidently you havent because of your lack of knowledge about it.
