Many of us don't like it but she was found not guilty and now has to live a life in hiding. But think of the role the media has played in this. They exploited the death of this little girl to make entertainment. The intensity of coverage and the nature of the crime has pushed mentally questionable people over the edge and she will have to fear for her safety the rest of her life. But what if it were you or me in a different case and we were the only ones who knew we were innocent? The media has too much influence on our society.
You guys are crazy if you think shes innocent. If she was innocent of killing the damn girl I would still lock her ass up for not reporting her missing! Then not caring when she spoke with her parents in those phonecalls! The reason so many of these people go on to kill again is because weak willed people are afraid to "pull the trigger" on them. I'm not one of those people and I've been on juries before where I was the only one who wanted to convict. . .and. . .after research post trial. . .I was right. People are just so timid about sending people to jail without CSI level evidence. . .you've got to look at other things. . .like personality, character, behavior. Listen to the testimony of witnesses. Trust in what you believe. Sometimes trust your insticts. If people on this jury did that we would have a different verdict.
Instincts have no place in this. Facts and evidence is all that's allowed. You got lucky on one jury. If defense found out what you did they would request a new trial without you.
Emotions are for the water cooler, not the court room.
12:31, I sure hope you didn't convict someone based on your "instincts". Their happens to be state laws that you abide by when serving on a jury, and instincts, personality, behavior, etc don't fall in that category. If more jurors, like the ones in the Casey Anthony tiral, stuck with the evidence then their would be less innocent people getting life and death penalty sentences.
The prosecution's circumstancial evidence was enough to convict Casey. How sad is it, that the jury didn't want to do their homework wanting the dots to be drawn for them (juror #3)I followed the trial and was out raged by the verdit. God is with us even when it doesn't make sense...

That and/or the society is too weak minded to think for themselves.
Frankly, I'm sick of hearing about it. It's over and nothing nor no one can change that.
9:02 It glaringly points out how easily people are manipulated by the media.

Obviously not.
How sad is it, that the jury didn't want to do their homework wanting the dots to be drawn for them
Wrong again. The jury did their job and did it correctly. The prosecution dropped the ball and failed.
You don't have to like the verdict but you should respect it.
You need more to win a case than rumors, innuendos and unproven allegations.
The state found that out.
