DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Delaware's state Senate has approved a one-year program to give $100 to any person who gives up a gun.
Senate lawmakers approved the pilot "gun buyback" program on Thursday. Lawmakers set aside $100,000 for the program, which allows law enforcement agencies to buy back 1,000 guns. The bill now goes to the House of Representatives.

Well now , this crap has never worked. This is a good incentive for criminals to rob homes or places and get money for guns.
I think it was D.C. that they did this .
What's the point other than the top of their heads.
Our government at work.
This is a stupid program.Don't you know a decent hand gun cost $400.00 or $500.00. This will just cause more crime. Crack heads trying to steal guns to get a hundred dollars to buy crack.Yeah great idea. NOT.

Yeah, new, but nobody is going to give you that on the used market. Still, most guns would be worth more than 100 dollars if you sold them at a pawn shop or gun store. So I don't see the advantage of this plan.
:o)
Hitler did the same thing but the SS collected them; OBAMA at your door step.
There are two problems with this buy-back. One is that people can get junk guns and sell them to the state for a profit. And second, someone not knowing could be selling an historically significant firearm for next to nothing and it gets melted downn or dumped in the ocean.
$100? !! ?? I'll double it.
