The unemployment rate for African Americans is now at Depression-era levels and the government is having to deal with the poor job showing.
One of the issues troubling Washington is unemployment among blacks, with the percentage of jobless at 16.2 percent higher than in the general population.
In isolation, African American males fare even worse.
The most recent figures show African American joblessness at 16.2 percent.
For black males, it's at 17.5 percent.
For black teens, it's nearly 41 percent.
In New York, it has been estimated that 34 percent of the city's young black men age 19 to 24 are not working.

Sad that this president will get the black vote just because. He is not making them sit in the back of the bus. He is throwing them under it. He doesn't care about the black man he is just using them to promote his agenda. And after he is all done ruining this country we will all be equally broke and under his rule.
the liberal spin is companies wont hire blacks. or even its the economy. but this is a chicken/egg comment. ever stop to think its because blacks are lazy or just arent looking for jobs? could it be they simply get a better ride for free on the backs of taxpayers? i say take away the entitlements and lets find out!

Now we just need to find out WHY. We have a black president now, so it certainly can't be because of racism. It is awful, though, how high the US's unemployment rate is.
people have long known how to take advantage of the system. fix the welfare system so only QUALIFIED people get help. then, send everyone else back to work!!!
I guess those unemployed dont have to claim the money collected by drug dealing.
Only because they choose welfare over employment. They figure we owe it to them because their ancesters were made to work. That welfare money purchases more drugs than a paying job.
Right on 2:28. More often than not AA unemployment is down because they refuse to look for a job. More often than not they are on some type of government assistance. The race card has been played out. White people and other races all have it equally hard now; however, the only difference in unemployment rates is due to some who are willing to work and actually get up to pursue a job. 1:46 is right, take away the free tickets.

It's saying 16.2 of AA are unemployed which is 16.2 higher than the national average of unemployment.
If you have 100 AA 16 of them are unemployed.
If the unemployment rate for whites is at 10 person..... out of 100 whites 10 would be unemployed.

the black man doesn't care about the black man. why work when you can deal drugs and not pay taxes and claim the income from drug sales, all while uncle sam sends you a check in the mail every month because you don't work a legitimate job. drug test for welfare, that will thin that out, next audit people on welfare, if you got cable tv with 800 channels and everything rent a center has to offer, you don't need government assistance. also stop people from being able to buy crabs with an independence card!

AA make up only 14% of the population. To simplify things here, if you have 10 AA and 1 is unemployed, the UE rate is 10%. As opposed to having 100 whites with 1 unemployed means white UE is only 1%. Simple math says that the unequal statistical weights of individual AA workers will always mean that a simple comparison of the weight is likely to lead to a disproportionate outcome.
Like I said I was the only white person getting food stamps.
