County Executive Rick Pollitt Speaks Out About The Death Of Osama bin Laden

“I am extremely proud of our President and our outstanding military for finally scraping this human garbage off the face of the earth.  While we realize the War on Terror will never be over, I pray we can now look forward to our local men and women serving overseas returning home soon to the families who love them.”

Look forward to their return home if you want . . . but you will be waiting a long time my friend. I feel exactly as do you.

However, the U.S. Government and the Military Industrial Complex (Big Media included) have lots of work for them - as our Nation continues to bombard and attack people of several Nations now with impunity.

American Soldiers will continue to be used as an offensive weapon of force. We are taking other Nations' natural resources and killing thousands of civillians in the process. The use of Depleted Uranium by our forces (and Israel's IDF)is an abomination. The fact that our Soldiers are not properly trained or protected to use these dangerous weapons of mass distruction is an embarrassment to our Nation.

The troops give all they have including their lives and the government may not appreciate their sacrifice enough. I wonder about the motives of our government leaders when it comes to the countless wars. The use of DU is banned by the United Nations. I doubt highly that either the United States or Israel are using DU weapons. That would be insane.

I doubt if Pollitt would make such a statement if Bush were still President. Would you be proud of Bush, Rick? It's all politics with these guys. Im sick of all the political mumbo jumbo.

anonymous 9:09, I took the time early this morning to send Rick the question for a statement. He was kind enough to respond, exclusively for SBYNews.com. I respect his statement, as should all of you. If you can't read into his tome, being that he's a politician, I can clearly see that if he were just a regular Joe on the street his language clearly would spell out a more harsh frame of mind. His opinion is appreciated.
