GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO PARTICIPATE IN LAUNCH OF BWTECH@UMBC’S CYBER INCUBATOR


ANNAPOLIS, MD  –TOMDAY, Governor Martin O’Malley will join U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and others for a briefing and tour of the University of Maryland Baltimore County’s Cyber-Focused Advantage Incubator and the Northrop Grumman Cync Program.

In 16 months, the bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park has become a cybersecurity hub, adding 16 companies that are developing the innovative technologies and services needed to secure and protect computer systems. Tomorrow, the Governor will join, bwtech and Northrop Grumman to announce the first two companies that have been selected in a national search to participate in the Northrop Grumman Cync Program, a part of bwtech’s Advantage Incubator focused on companies that are developing new tools to protect the computer hardware, software and networks vital to national defense.
