Your title is incorrect and misleading. Toyota was to blame...just their gas pedals and floor mats, not their electrical system.
hobie88, Do your homework, you're wrong. It was "after market" floor mats that caused the problems.
You might be refering to the family of 4 who died in a Toyota rental....an attendant at the rental place put the wrong floor mats in the wrong Toyota. It gets better...several customers complained about the problem in this Toyota.....nobody at the rental company did anything.
