In an unexpected twist to the Arizona shootings, a man wounded in the attack was arrested and taken for a psychiatric exam after an outburst at a town hall meeting, during which he took a picture of a tea party leader and yelled "you're dead," authorities say.

I guess he didn't get the memo that the shooting wasn't the result of "right wing heated political rhetoric." Way to "change the tone" of the political discourse in the country.

Liberals do not want to change. They want all others to change to meet their 'ideals'. It won't matter if the talk radio hosts do make any changes to their rhetoric, it will never be enough for the libs.

Sarah Palin it the WORST thing that could happen to the TEA party and conservatives in general. While I don't disagree with her core beliefs, she is a gaff machine the caliber of Joe Biden and Dan Quayle. Her words and actions are the greatest aid to enemies of the 2nd amendment and the liberal agenda.
Of course Palin isn't responsible for the tragedy in Arizona, but our leaders need to represent us with responsible, unimpeachable words and actions. Mrs. Palin's putting out messages with political foes in crosshairs is irresponsible, misguided and embarrassing to those of us who wish to preserve our 2nd amendment rights!
There are a million other ways to bring a concerted VOTING effort against political enemies. But a person in crosshairs instantly conjures up the image of a person being a target of violence. While most would ignore or make light of this implication, it may be enough to convince some simple minded idiot that by putting their "crosshairs" on a political opponent, the are somehow being a patriot. Of course this is absurd, but our leaders must not damage the 2nd amendment and conservatives with stupid words and images. Our leaders have to be smarter that that!
