Several administrative changes for Wicomico County Public Schools took effect on Jan. 3, and a final change was announced on Jan. 13. The adjustments in school administrative leadership teams are related to filling an administrative vacancy and ensuring that school leadership staff are in place in all schools to best meet the needs of students, said Dr. Margo Handy, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Student Services. The mid-year adjustments will ensure stability and consistency in the affected schools.

Principal - William Curtis (no change)
Acting Assistant Principal – Alexan Dargan (announced on Jan. 13)
Delmar Elementary:
Acting Principal - Judy Nicholson
Assistant Principal - Karen Parsons

Actually the only new information posted was for the Acting Assistant Principal at Beaver Run. As a parent at one of the affected schools I received a letter prior to the holiday break. The changes were also posted on sbynews.

The BOE chose to release it again. Wasn't sure if there were any changes, so I went with it.
they need to put Mr Twilley back at Pinehurst elementary the new principal does not do things as well as he did and does not work as well with the kids
YES! Nunzio is the worst principal I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I am so glad he is out of Delmar Elementary. I feel bad for the children and parents at Prince Street.

Fredericksen found a reason to get rid of him. Fredericksen told me it was a heart attack. Isn't that confidential information and/or in violation of HIPAA?
Fowler was in over his head and couldn't handle the job. He figured he could scoot by since Prince St is such a needy school. Truth is all schools must pass, no matter how challenging. Nunzio will get the job done even if he has to piss off some teachers.

Fowler DID NOT have a heart attack. He tells people it was a medical decision but why didn't he just take time off.
He has been placed on administrative leave so there is more to this than we know.
Administrative leave equals getting paid for sitting at home. Why are my tax dollars paying for this?
10:03, The principal at Pinehurst wouldn't have such a hard time adjusting to her new position if she had the support of the assistant principal. Talk about a waste of a position! She does NOTHING to help out at that school.
From talking to teachers at Delmar, they liked Mr. Collins and are confused as to why he was switched with the Asst. Principal from Glenn Ave. Especially since he just started at Delmar this year.
Mr. Fowler is a wonderful man and gave his full attention to the students at Prince Street... it was his first year as principal sometimes you have bumps in the first year and need guidance, I don't believe that was a good decision, hasty actually.

Really??? Fowler was a jerk to the kids and staff. He backed the kids into a corner and treated them like thugs.
He was so pompous and arrogant to the staff. He was given many warnings and a lot of advise from the BOE and he never took it.
Speaking from a parents point of view, we are glad that he has been replaced.
As for Pinehurst they need a vice principal who can actually remember who the students are, shows up on time, takes less personal phone calls when she has a line of students waiting to be disciplined, realizes that you are not to discuss confidential student information in front of non employees and earns the respect of the staff. She needs to get her head out of the sand and realize that things are not better. Also, she needs to stop parking in the visitor spot! God bless the principal in her new role! She has her hands full!

10:48 - I find it hard to believe that Dr. F would discuss anything to you or anyone else that could potentially leave him exposed for knowingly breaking the law.
12:36 - scoot by, huh? I'm a close friend of his family, and a BOE employee in the facilities department- if I wasn't afraid of loosing my job, I'd post my name, but the man didn't scoot by in anyway. He worked so hard he ended up with bleeding ulsers, and serious health problems from all of the stress he was under. Does that sound like someone who was scooting by?
4:32 - your tax dollars did not pay for this medical leave. All BOE employees accrue medical and persona leave. I assume he utilized his leave to take care of his health. Nothing wrong with that, and it costs you nothing.
9:58, as a parent, I agree with your comments. I repeatedly witnessed him being verbally abused by parents on a routine basis for the ridiculous behavior of their children, and themselves. He always remained calm and worked hard for our children. As for your comments 10:17, I have never witnessed him do anything unprofessional with students in the last 4 years my children attended PSES - you seem to be describing someone other than him - you now have your wish, and will get more than an eyeful of unprofessionalism with the new Principal, who spends more time at Brew River imbibing - don't take my word for it, go to Brew River and see for yourself. Is that the kind of professional behavior you prefer to see? I further understand that Mr. Fowler has moved from the area and is doing quite well, but I personally think it is a shame that after all of his years of service that he is no longer part of the BOE. My children miss him, as do I and I wish him the best of Lu ck. And. Unlike all of you cowards who refuse to leave your name, preferring to bash him while hiding behind the 'anonymous' signature, I have used my own name.
Dear all regarding Mr. Fowler,
I saw Mr. Fowler at Rite Aid by the college with his children picking up a prescription on 4-1-13. I personally liked him as did my children, and having known him for some time, I asked him why he left. He was tactful, and simply said that he had a professional difference of opinion on several matters with the super. He shared that he is working in VA enjoying his new job, bid me well along with my children, and quietly moved on. He did not have one negative thing to say at any point. I don't know the politics of the BOE beyond what I have read here, and like in every business there are those who liked him, and those who did not. I personally think he did something to anger Dr. Fredricksen and he just made things impossible. I think it was unfair, but it did not seem to phase him at all - my impression was that he just took it in stride and moved along. I think it is a shame this happened, but I for one am glad he is doing well. I wanted to ask him his opinion about Mr. Nunzio given what has recently happened with his DUI thing but I don't think he would have had much to say. Mr. Fowler, if you read this web site, I would like you to know that I wish you and your family well.
