Evidence WBOC Has Problems With Their Broadcasting

For the heck of it last night I decided to take some pictures of just what we experience here at home with WBOC. Once again, the image would completely disappear, (several times) and leave us with a "NO SIGNAL" message. Other times blocks would take away the image, (see Steve Hammond's head) and the audio would break up on a regular basis.

So its not just a complaint, its a reality. Maybe I'll record a few days of this and YouTube it, for those of you who don't believe this is going on. I'll be sure to go to other locations that have cable and do the same.

Their technical staff leaves a lot to be desired.

with little research you will find that the digital signal is a lower more direct signal sort of line of sight and one thing that goes with that is the atmospheric conditions
I get 13 chanels on a clam clear day and only 8 with rain, wind.

anonymous 10:53, nice try. However, we have never once had a problem bringing in channel 47. Also, do explain how and why we have all seen the same problem with those who have cable.

Constantly loose signal on wboc, whereas before I did not. 47 is fine usually. My signal on wboc/fox will be around 90 and then drop to zero for a few seconds. It will happen three or four times a night.

I live in Easton and get WBOC and WMDT just fine. It's the DC and Baltimore stations that I have a problem with - and I am pointed at them!

I did not need proof I believe you Joe we have the same problem. Thanks for exposing this to everyone.

Digital is a way weaker signal.. about 1/3 of what we had. Your line of sight may be more direct to 47.The translaters picking up signal to put it on cable are receivers too. Even they have trouble picking up the weaker signal.. For the most part a good signal is leaving 16 but it is just too weak to travel well. They still do go off the air some. A complete and true answer

1:48 That doesn't explain why it happens on cable as well. This factor points directly to WBOC's feed.

We purposely interupt the signal to you Joe...We don't want you stealing our stories. If you keep this up we will shut down your blog and bring legal action against you. Just so you know we ain't Barrie or Allen.
Sincerely,
Your friends @BOC

Joe,
I do enjoy reading your posts as long as they are news-worthy. However, I could stand to do without all the finger pointing that you do. If I'm not mistaken, you have had some technical difficulties in your past as well. Why do you always pick out the flaws in everybody? You are not perfect either. Please don't forget that.

I used to get 15 channels from Va./DC, Balti., occasonally Philly and even Chnl. 69 from Allentown. Now I get 16/21(occasionally), Chnl. 28 (MPT) very rarely, WMDT, and the Chnl. 64 rebroadcast of PBS-12 from Philly. That's it. Digital sucks!
