Human Remains Found / Assateague Park

CRIME: Unidentified Body Remains Found

VICTIM: Unknown

Narrative: On November 6, 2010 at approximately 3:08 pm, a Federal Park Ranger was patrolling the beach along the northern side of Assateague National Park. .

The Park ranger located, what appeared to be the body/ remains of an adult white male. 
Due to the nature of the investigation, The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation was contacted and responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that sometime in the previous 24 hours, the body of a white male had washed up on the northern shore’s of Assateague island beach in the area of the 2 Mile Marker.

The body would be described as only clothed in a pair of Levi's blue jeans and a black Patagonia belt. There was no identification located on the body. The male was approximately 5 foot 7 inches and weighed between 140-160 lbs. 
A check with local law enforcement agencies revealed there were no reports of any missing person or reports of any missing crew members off of local vessels. 


The body remains have been sent to Baltimore for an Autopsy.
