Hey Joe I just wanted to tell you about a good experience at a local business I just had (I know usually people send the not so good. :))
I had to get the oil changed and decided to stop at Jiffy Lube on the south side of Salisbury. I had never been there and thought I'd give it a shot since everyone else's wait time around the area was 50 min. or more. I had 2 cars ahead of me. They were done in less than 15 min. I only waited about 25 min. and I know they would have been faster if they hand't had to replace a side light that was out. In all, they had cleaned my front windshield, vacuumed my floors, changed the oil and a light all in that short time! And the short time was appreciated because I have 2 small kids that get restless after about 5 min. :)
The service from ALL employees was so friendly I thought I'd entered another world. Not one person seemed as though they were wishing they were somewhere else and the one who gives you your report card on the car told you what was wrong and wasn't pushy at all about things needing to be done. And they did have a great rewards program where your 3rd oil change is half off. I will definitely be coming back for the next oil change and bringing our other vehicle. Not very often you can say you enjoy getting your car serviced!
Keep up the great work!

Nice to hear positive comments for a change. Thanks!
I have heard they are really good...can you share with us how much it cost you for that?
Ya know I had a real good experiance there last year. It's good to see service with a smile still exists
Anon 9:15 Yes they are really good! The cost was $34.95 which is about the average in Salisbury. Walmart has even upped their prices for oil changes and don't even compete with these guys for service or hospitality. :) And for your 3rd oil change to be half off, I thought it would be great in the long run too!

i've always had positive experiences with them...for the last couple years. what a bunch of great guys.
That is the only place I go for my oil changes. They are great!! Usually there about 15 mins tops. Like the OP said, oil change, vacuum, fluids filled, windows washed! They will sometimes recommend that for my mileage Ford recommends having ___ done. I just say "No Thanks" I get a yes ma'am and they go back to completing my oil change. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF!!!!
My oil change is about $65.00 I have a truck and us semi synthetic.
Jiffy Lube is ok but the Valvoline on 13 is better. Always fast and you get to stay in your car while there changing the oil. No need to get all the kids out and lock up your belongings.
I went there once 15 yrs ago and they spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to remove a lens cover to a side marker light to replace it before they realized it was just a reflector attached to the car body with no bulbs to replace. That did it for me and i didnt go back.
blutojthetotmom now thats funny!
OK...here's one for Jiffy Lube in Salisbury. I took my cube van with a diesel engine for an oil change. While there I asked them if they would change the fuel filter. The fuel filter on those things are a b**ch to get to. Theyy seemed to be having a problem so I went out to ask them if everything was ok. They assured me everything was fine. I drove it home and all seemed fine. I got up at 2:00 a.m. the following morning and began a ten hour round trip through Pennsylvania and back through Wilmington. I got almost to Bridgeville when the cube van started pumping diesel fuel out like someone was pouring it from a bucket. I pulled over to the side of Rt. 13. I called a taxi to come and get me to take me to my pick-up truck. The taxi was $51.00. I wasn't able to get to Pennsylvania that morning but it did get to Wilmington and was able to make the second part of my delvery. At 9:00 am I called Jiffy Lube and told them that the van they worked on was on the side of the road and gave them the location. They got in a vehicle and replaced the filter with a new one. They also transported my van back to Salisbury. When I went to pick it up they also reimbursed me for the taxi fare. I told them that I understood that mistakes happen and that I appreciated them being stand-up people. While I was pissed at first, You have to understand that things like this happen and it's the follow-up that tells the story. Good Job Guys!
Touching stories... i still dont trust anyone but my self to work on my cars...andits cheaper too!!!
Any local business that you find is friendly and competent you should stick with. I understand how the OP thought she stepped into another world with their friendliness, this is Salisbury, the land of the eternally p*ssed off. I hate to say it but most local business experiences I've had werent good at all. I guess its a shore thing. I'm glad yours was good.
