"The Thirsty's at the intersection of Church Street and East Main in Salisbury was again robbed last night and both on-duty employees were assaulted. This happened just a few weeks ago, along with many more robberies in the last two years. I have seen nothing on this in the media. Why can't they solve it. Wonder if both recent robberies here, in which the clerks were beaten both times, are related to the robbery and shooting at the deli across the street a few months ago. Hey, Salisbury Police, don't you think a little more patrolling or stake-outs is warranted in this area, or do you just take reports?"
Editor's Note: I have confirmed that Thirsty's was in fact robbed again last night.

So was the Eastern Shore Drive Shore Stop. Last night's clerk turned around and found a shotgun in his face. He quit this morning.
that shorestop is a push over those guys are all after hours drag queens
That is terrible! Both stories! Glad no one was killed. Bunch of thugs! Poor guy risking his life at a convenience store just trying to make a living. This town needs help! And they say violent crime is going down? They all moved in here and our dumbass judges welcomed them in w/open arms! What a bunch of shit!
thirstys on vine and snowhill rd, was robbed last night
There were also several home invasions involving black males with a shot gun and pistol. I wonder if these were related?
There is not any money in catching criminals.
There is a LOT of money in collecting speeding ticket fines.
Wake up
Yes all they do is take reports. They do NO investigating.
set a sniper up across the street. if i remember correctly, didnt this place get robbed on back-to-back nights last time?
There were two home invasion in addition to this robbery also. The desciption of the robbers was the same for all. They used a hand gun and a rifle.
Report takers only. They are way understaffed. But hey, mayor says everything is peachy.
Get a real camera system that may be able to focus and then maybe the police can look at it and catch them. The store is so pasted with posters not allowing anyone to see in.
Maryland gun laws need to be amended so that more businesses & their employees feel comfortable arming themselves. If these scumbags know they might have a shotgun aimed at them they will think twice before robbing people.Increased police patrols would help too.
Let me make this very clear to ALL of you. If you are a business owner in Wicomico County/Maryland you ARE allowed to have a loaded gun to protect yourself and others, registered OR NOT! If you don't believe me, call the Sheriff's Department and they'll confirm it.
Close all stores at 3:00 PM daily so everyone can run home and sit behind windows and doors with bars on them.I feel safer already. Salisbury has become crime city.
I've been saying it for a while....you cannot drive down the street 2 miles in this town without a cop hassling you over a seat belt or stopping you for 29 in a 25 zone....or there are 10 cops at a "checkpoint" stopping 300innocent citizens/drivers in order to find (luck into finding is more like it) a "crime" LOL...they are AFRAID of a real criminal because most of those short, overweight, tough guys (as long as they are wearing their gun and badge) would take an ass whipping from a real criminal, but working people, just trying to get the bills paid???? They are easy targets for fines and like a prior poster said, there ain't no money in catching the robbers, home invaders, hookers, bank robbers, thugs. etc. Just keep targeting the people you are paid to "protect". YOU ARE NOT PROTECTING ANYTHING. The police are no longer public servants but (in their mind) public MASTERS...and for the record, I don't have a criminal record and have had ONE speeding ticket in over ten years. I'm just totally fed up with the crime in what used to be a quaint and quiet little town and wonder EVERY day what the hell are all these police around here doing about it??? Answer?? Setting up radar units, roving seat belt patrols, Nazi-style "checkpoints" but little actual crime control or even foot patrols thru dnagerous neighborhoods.... and SPEEDING past me like the law isn't made for THEM....you or I get shot in a robbery, we are a statistic....a cop gets shot, there is a 2000 cop manhunt and to hell with anyone's Constitutional rights...do you think that if it was a COP working part time at Thirsty's that was shot, there wouldn't have been roadblocks, multiple searches of vehicles, door to door inquiries of entire neighborhoods, helicopters, etc??? Why isn't a CITIZENS life as important as that?
