On Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 03:05 am, a Trooper from the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police stopped a vehicle on north bound Rt. 13 at Foskey Lane in Delmar Maryland for a traffic violation. The Trooper immediately noticed the smell of burning marijuana within the vehicle and asked the driver if there was anything illegal in the vehicle.
The driver, Elijah C. Lewis, 22, of Delmar, produced a pipe containing marijuana residue inside of it. Lewis was taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
He was turned over to a District Court Commissioner pending a hearing.

way to take a huge bite out of crime
Is that all people do is ride around smoking dope? You always see them say they smelled marijuana burning, after they pulled someone over.
ha ha what an idiot
I wonder just how much it costs taxpayers to process folks that are busted for simple pot posession?? Seems the money and time and effort could be focused on something else. Why not just write him a ticket with a fine, take his pipe and weed, and send him on his way...provided he had a ride come pick him up of course. Wouldnt want anybody to be stoned behind the wheel.
Its 4:19...anybody got a minute??
Way to go coppers!
Keeping the streets safe.
