Need to check here in Salisbury right near Dresser/Zoo area. Made for a nice walk to Specific Gravity and back! $2 pints and half price white pizza for the "white out"! Looking at at least 10" though.
Just measured, 12" in Willards too.

Question: Why wouldn't they just call a state of emergency now?? We know there will be no school for at least 2 days right? Also, why I am thinking about it.... Why make up days at end of school year that will be 100% UNPRODUCTIVE?! Days attended mean nothing just to say they did it ....right??? The state should say make it up with the time you have and not spend extra money for kids to sit, sweat and not learn in June!!! BUDGET???
School days lost due to a declared state of emergency do not have to be made up.

Hey Joe. Here in Parsonsburg and we have 12 inches easy and still snowing lightly.. Kids been checking all day! Lovin' it too. Sorry, no pics, no technology yet:)
In Delmar, MD at 13" right now.
Just measured in an area protected from drifts in teh center of Salisbury...nearly 11". Much deeper in areas where the wind has caused drifts.
About an eighth of an inch shy of 12 inches here in Salisbury, near Bennett High School.
i have 15 inches in back yard in salisbury near fruitland..could be from drifts..dont have a yard stick
We have about 12 or so in Laurel, some drifts are over 3ft...it looks like ski moguls in the back of the property....it's so cool looking!
They don't want to admit on the weather how much we actually got because they ALL called this one wrong!
in my yard in Hebron one spot cuase of drifts is to my knees and the other regular spots are almost to my knees and im 5'11

A foot plus easy here on the south end of Salisbury. It's over the top of my outdoor boots which are a foot tall.
Light fluffy stuff and still coming down.
Don't forget to check in on your elderly neighbors, single moms with little kids, etc.

Here's the deal with snow days and "forgiveness". The state requires us to have a plan to deal with snow days. It's part of our calendar. Our plan is to make up those days at the end of the year. Next year the proposed calendar includes options to make them up during professional days, but this year the plan is extend the calendar by up to 5 days. As long as we don't have more than 5 snow days we'll be able to "work the plan" and the state won't forgive the snow days. Until the number of snow days EXCEEDS our plan there's no reason to even ask.
Only place in the state with significant snow is the shore and we know we're an outhouse, so we don't count. No state of emergency declaration will happen. The schools need to make their statement now so people can plan for tomorrow.
