Authorities are asking everyone to search their own properties at this time. They have also asked that a red flag of some sort be posted on the property searched.
Rain is moving in and will make a mess of things. Please go out and search your yards, fields and farms.

Searchers who've been there since early this morning are being sent home as there are so many people waiting for a turn to help.
The roadways, fields and alleys are COVERED with caring people.
If we can turn this horror into a concerted effort to take back our city and surrounding towns, there is no shortage of volunteers.
I suggested that at 7:02 last night. Here's another suggestion to put an end to all this: If Ruark Davis thinks he has a strong case against the defendant, and since this trial will more than likely be moved to another venue due to the amount of publicity it has garnered, Davis should offer a deal to the defendant's council that the state will not seek the death penalty against his client, but life without the possibility of parole instead, if his client tells authorities where the little girl can be found.

I'm just curious how far away they want the public to search? For example I'm in Worcester Co only a 15 minute drive away, in Bishopville, but fields and ditches all around. Should we search as well?

I would leave no stone unturned, doesn't matter if it is across county lines or into Delaware. I am going to search our farm just to know that I have done at least something.

11:11 You do realize that the death penalty is not actually a deterrent don't you? Most, if not all, criminals think they will 'get away' with their crimes or do not give adequate thought to the consequences of their crimes. The only thing the death penalty actually accomplishes is added expense due to the lengthy appeal process it entails. It is actually cheaper to sentence people to life without the possibility of parole. Funny how all the conservatives who want state expenses cut can't/won't see that fundamental financial fact.
You know it would be great if some kind of satelite imagery was available to find this little girl. With all the technology available, it would be nice to have satelite pictures of the night in question. Maybe that would show where she was taken too.

I live in the area of Ocean City Road and Phillip Morris Drive. I have walked as far as I could looking for anything in my immediate area. I don't have a car so can't search too far. Has anyone checked out the Park and Ride spot on Rt. 50 and Phillip Morris? It's a pretty secluded area and on main road.

Just got home from searching please all farmers check your property you know your fields and woods better then anyone. We need to bring her home.
WE all need to search every piece of land we own. Many started yesterday especially on the East Side, landowners could be seen riding around the farms they own and rent, looking for signs of some one entering a woods or field or old building. Christmas dinners were delayed,while the Rural Landowners were quietly checking there land. The snow and mud have made it easier to see if someone has entered a property.
This is certainly a Horrific incident. However I am proud of the response from the people of Wicomico County and all of our neighbors on Delmarva who are doing all they can to help with this search.

I think he should be released because of a lack of evidence. I volunteer to pick him up at the jail right now. I'm sure he would feel like talking sometime today.

I was going to come down to the CC this morning but I heard threw the grape vine my wifes brother Donald and his son Paul had been contacted to search the area east of Brown road between Zion & Dagsboro. Thats good he and Paul know that area like the back of their hands. I went and search from Providence church road west down Waller road and all around the Delmar Maryland dump. Their are alot of lakes and ponds back there and I walked around all of them. There was no signs of vehicle or human tracks(that werent deer hunters going to their stands) anywhere I covered the box from the dump north to the powerlines and back east again to Providence church road. I dont think anyone has been back in this area.
They should be checking man-hole covers {sanitary and storm water} in that area and coming into salis. If he was wearing tennis shoes he didnt get off the path to far.....
The ultimate penalty will be administered in prison folks

The irrigation pond and surrounding area on the east side of Providence church road, just over the md/de line is clear, nothing there.
