Delmar Christmas Parade - Yet Another New Date

Hi again Joe,

It's been a really long couple of days.

The Delmar Christmas Parade has been moved again. We know this will create confusion for some but we really do not see that we have a choice.

Since there was a conflict with many of our entrants with the Salisbury Parade AND the Delmar Wildcats Championship game has been moved to tomorrow (Sun) at 4pm, the parade was looking pretty small.

We have decided to move the Delmar Christmas Parade to SUNDAY, DEC. 13th at 2pm.

If it should rain us out again like it did for today, it will NOT be rescheduled.

Anyone who has not already submitted their entry form and would like to be in the parade, they can call the Parade Coordinator, Roger Martinson at 410-430-6566 or they can call the Chamber voicemail at 302-846-3336.
There will also be parade applications available at Delmar Town Hall next week. There is NO FEE to participate in our parade and trophies will be awarded in several categories.

We appreciate your support in allowing our organization to get the word out. We are hoping this date will be good for everyone concerned.

Thank you,
Diane Johnson
Secretary/Parade Committee

Greater Delmar
Chamber of Commerce

Joe, I believe the Delmar football game is at 3pm today, not 4pm. Idon't want anyone showing up an hour late after yesterday's late cancellation.

We apologize for the time error on the game but we reported to Joe exactly what we were told.
Sorry Joe!

The Delmar Chamber of Commerce is trying to find out who the Parade Coordinators are of the other towns, especially the other towns who canceled their parades so that maybe they can put their entry into the Delmar parade on Sunday.
You know there were floats made and now they were not able to be shown.
The Chamber would love to have them participate!
If anyone knows who they are or you know people who are interested, please have them give the Delmar Parade Coordinator a call so we can get them in.
Thanks.
