I love boxers! GREAT dogs and great with kids. Unfortunately they also like to chase wheeels. ):(On a busy raod, not so good.)
We have an Austrailian Blue Healer poopin up the place now, but I sure would LOVE to have one of those boxers. Wonder how much they are?
10:47~I agree. I have a boxer/pit mix and he is so human like and such a lover! He is a comedian. They will do anything to make you laugh.
These puppies are so cute. I am sure they all will go to good homes. However after the post about the Humane Society, we should be adopting our dogs and puppies from there. I adpoted a puppy a few years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done.
I wish they hadn't docked their tails. That is so cruel.
Really wish we weren't supporting breeding of dogs while thousands die right here on the eastern shore. Boxers are a dime a dozen in rescue.
I have 3 rescues, but some people like a purebred puppy instead of an older puppy or an adult dog. Some people prefer a Yorkie, a Boxer, a Lab and so on. Dogs rescued are remarkable dogs but some can have issues that cannot be corrected and needs a special home or cannot be placed in a home at all. I had adopted a dog from the humane society who delivered 10puppies 2 days later. I was able to help the humane society place these puppies and I gave the mother dog a home for over 2 years. She had been abused and with no notice at all she would turn on me. I tried everything I could to get her past this and trust me but the day she backed me in a corner, teeth bared, I decided I was not going to put one of my children in a position of her turning on them.
So I encourage people to adopt from the humane society but don't take it away from someone who wants to start off with their own puppy. I saw in an earlier post someone said it was cruel to dock tails. I thought so too, but that is why the tails are docked by 3 days old. 5 days and older the bone hardens and this would be too late to dock tails. Yorkies, Boxers, Jack Russells and other breeds are known to have tails docked. I think someone who crops the ears are extremely cruel. Even though this is accepted for certain breeds, the ears must be done when the puppy is older and to be cut and taped, that is painful.
I love puppy as a pet. They are so cute and playing them is like just forget every tension and pain. I just feel so good with them..
