PETA Unhappy Meals Targeting Kids

The McCruelty Unhappy Meal. Photo:

PETAKids hoping to grab a Happy Meal from McDonald's might end up with PETA's Unhappy Meal instead.

The animal rights organization lifted its moratorium on the McCruelty Campaign this year and since June has distributed Chicken McCruelty Unhappy Meals to McDonald's customers outside about a dozen restaurants around the country."

McDonald's markets its food to children by packaging it in brightly colored boxes with toys," Lindsay Rajt, a spokeswoman for PETA, tells Slashfood. "But most kids really love animals, and if they knew that McDonald's suppliers were breaking the wings and legs of gentle animals like chickens, I think that you'd have to drag kids into McDonald's kicking and screaming."

The campaign, though, has parents "hatin' it."

That's hilarious! I wonder what PETA puts in the boxes for the kids to eat?

Apparently those speaking of "gentle" chickens have never had a rooster attack them from behind, striking them in the knee, and taking them down to the ground.

I challenge them to come to our poultry farm where we do not raise cute cuddly chicks but house full-grown breeder egg producing females (and males - that's what makes them breeders!) and see just how "gentle" these full-grown birds with attitude can be.

PETA is so ignorant. How can you market bruised and broken wings and legs?..you can't!

I have worked in the processing plants, and in chichen houses on the shore, and PETA is clueless.

I have seen their fake videos of chichens being abused at the processors, and it is a joke. If an employee was ever caught damaging the "product" they would be fired on the spot. Seriously, you can wreck a company tractor-trailer drunk and get off easier than damaging or stealing a chicken leg. It's all about the product.

I understand PETA's cause, but they continue to fabricate lies to convince others of their beleifs. Whats next? are they going to give us a sound track of screaming blades of grass as we mow our lawns? Or how about the cries of an orange as the skin is slowly peeled off of its back?

I pity the PETA member who tries to scare my kid. They might get "deboned".
Seriously,I am more concerned about the fat and salt content of fast food than I am anything else.

PETA and NAACP are unwanted groups that contribute more issues and probs to society.

ABC, I think you are the first person in the history of the written word to put PETA and the NAACP in the same sentence.

I don't see what one has to do with the other, but your post does have some merrit, I think.

3:10 PM,

I think you are right, but lets not forget the ACLU. All three of these groups are terrorist organizations (and all liberals). When they protest, even violently, it is okay because they are displaying democracy, however, when republicans demonstrate, we are angry mobs. WTF? The naacp has outlived its usefullness. It can barely survive financially. Lets face it , it is what it is. The ACLU is nothing but an organization to keep lawyers rich, and PETA, what do you think animals were put on this earth for? To feed and pick up crap after? No!!! I enjoy viewing wildlife, right next to the mashed taters and gravy.

Can you say "Lawsuit"?

McDonald's will sue the pants off of PETA for using Ronald and other trademarked symbols.

For PETA -- God said, "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you." (Genesis 9:3)

Wait, I thought "PETA" meant "People for the Eating of Tasty Animals?" Hmmmmm.....I'll have to ponder this as I clean my shotgun.

I won't use PETA and NAACP in the same senence (well, I guess I just did), but I will certainly use PETA and Fruit Loops.
