INCIDENT: Residential Burglary Investigation
DATE: July 9, 2009
LOCATION: 100 Block of Columbia Road, Salisbury, Maryland
NARRATIVE: On July 7, 2009 Detectives from the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation made contact with Charles Greg Brendel in reference to an ongoing investigation into several daytime residential burglaries. Through the course of this investigation information was developed that Brendel was involved in a conspiracy to purchase stolen firearms. As a result of this information two stolen handguns were recovered.
Additional investigation resulted in Detectives learning that Brendel failed to register as a Sex Offender.
Brendel was arrested on two warrants. WBI obtained the first for the conspiracy and the second by the Sex Offender Registry Unit for the sex registration violations. SUSPECT: Charles Greg Brendel 29 years of age W/M Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Straw Purchase 2 counts, Failure to Register Offender
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

I know greg, crazist s.o.b. I ever met. He is a pathalogical liar. The crazy part is he believes all his lies to be truth. He grew up in Delmar. I had four re-curring dreams that he killed me, ever since then I try to avoid him. I dont scare easy, but in the last couple of years the vibes he put off scared me a bit. Some people I cant even reach.
I bet the Daily Times will print what he says, so interview him.....

Common side effects of a male growing up with-out an adult male(daddy) in his life, and everything that goes with that. He was no M.J. the girl was probably 17 or close to 18. He was pretty damn far away from his Mirror thats for sure. What are ya going to do?
Police fail to mention that Gregs employer, the owner of Salisbury Auto Trim, Randy, purchased those stolen guns and that the guns were recovered from Randys home in Delaware. People who believe everything they read and respond while so uniformed should just shut up.
Found the first comment hysterical. I've know Greg for years. He has always been the protector of all our friends and a real stand up dude. Thats what probally got him arrested..he didn't roll over on his bosses illegal activities. If that person is scared he must have done Greg wrong. Who has nightmares about people?? LOL
I heard no one will interview him even though he and his family called WBOC when this was first aired on the Friday night news. They don't want the real story...it doesn't sell papers. What happend to being INNOCENT before being PROVEN GUILTY?
Before any of this came up Greg told a few of his close friends about the sex offender charge. He said he went to the mother and told her the daughter was using and skiping school. I looked up the public records. They showed the girl was a drug addict and had almost od'd several times. I think she lied to take the focus off her. Many of us can't imagine Greg messing with a kid. He could have any woman he wants. Always ticked me off
