Two Years Ago Today

Ironically enough, Rick Hoppes was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief two years ago today.

Joe you might have meant Deputy Chief after a much better Deputy Chief Tim Keenan was forced into retirement by Gordo, Fatso Hoppes and See.

You might want to correct this before the few Gordo/Hoppes followers attack you.

How did he pass the physical?

Anon 9:24 AM, isn't that so true. I have lost so much respect for Jim Ireton that I am ready to walk door to door again for him, but this time to sign a recall petition.

He is an interim Cheif, until Jim can hire a permanent Cheif. It is going to take Jim some time to wade through all the BS Barrie left behind, as well as bring in his own people.

Please give the man a chance...he has alot on his plate.

What happened to that help that was on it's way? Did it leave town?

pretty quick to attack the new mayor arent we. a person has left hoppes was put in as acting. he was next on in the line. who would you have put as acting chief?, gordy, bragg, tull, black, or walsont? it dont matter you would complain either way. check with hr and see what is the next step, promote from within or a nationwide search. check with the mayors office and see if they will put together a selection committee for chief and ask to be put on it. be proactive instead of bitching about it.

How Ireton handles this will make or break it for me.

If we have SSDD in the FD, money flowing like water through the door, we're screwed.

Do you think this guy has been to Rita's a few times? Damn, have some pride in yourself and your rank.

Give who a chance Ireton or Hoppes?? Hoppes was part of the multimillion dollar problem and Ireton knew that so what chance does he deserve??

Hoppes is a fat lazy slob that knew how to kiss the right ass. He has never fought any fire and was to lazy to check the equipment every day. I will never forget watching him roll around the engines in an office chair checking the apparatus. It won't be long and he will be riding one of those motorized carts in Wal Mart when he does his shopping.

Absolutely not, but there are other more responsible people he could have chosen.

Notice the bald spots on those two. That is from them constantly scrathing their heads trying to figure out how to screw the next person so they can get to the top.

What a shame on the part of our new mayor. Hoppes along with Gordo, Tull and Gladwell were the biggest contributors to the Fat Green mans blog attacking Mr. Ireton. They are his biggest source of information and attacks. I thought our last mistake was when we voted for Louise Smith?

Looks to me like Hoppes needs to workout in that nice training room at the station #16. I'm glad they have it, just use it fatman.

Not that I care for See, however even he is better shape than Hoppes. This is going to be Salisbury's "Example" of a leader? I surely hoppes not.

Hoppes is like See and Gordo. They are all lazy and have never been real firefighters. He has never been a good employee and was on the verge of getting fired when he realized it was time to start kissing the right butts to get where he is today.

I knew I should have voted for Bob Caldwell and worked for his campaign.
