Has Anyone Seen The New Ladder Truck?
Let's see, there's a sign on the ground, no real signs of a vehicle wrecking into the median strip, what's left? One look at the rear bumper and I think you'll find who/what trashed this sign.
FYI-That sign has been down for about a week now. I've noticed that the City and SHA have been pretty slow lately with replacing damaged road signs. About a month ago there was a Stop Sign down at Middle Neck Dr. and Hammond Street-The sign laid on the ground for 4 days, disappeared for 6 days after that and then finally the sign was replaced on the 11th day! I called it in to Public Works on the second day it was down and it took 9 days to replace? Now who would be liable for for accidents in that intersection while the sign is down? What if a child was struck because there is no stop sign? I know in some States if you steal a street sign and it causes a fatal accident, the thief can be charged with manslaughter-not sure in MD though.
I saw it today at 3:55 pm heading west bound on RT.50 in front of Wi Middle School. Wonder what it cost tax payers to run that big truck..when there isn't a tall bldg fire going on...

Thats gonna cost the taxpayers to replace the sign. With each "opps" the price of that truck goes up. Good thing no one was standing there.
Actually there was an accident there Saturday morning. The SFD was out there as well. Two cars collided.
One day you will all be happy we have that fire equipment.
is that where the fire utility pick up was struck

I agree, the truck will be great to have on hand when unoccupied buildings start catching on fire.
That's an issue in bigger cities when the homeless build their own primary source of heat, a 55 gallon drum.
