Update #3 DSP News Release: Wednesday, March 25, 2009- Officer Involved Shooting

Wilmington- Fabian Silvestre was arraigned at his bedside this afternoon (at Christiana Hospital) on the New Castle County Police charge of Assault 2nd (felony) and the State Police charges of Assault 2nd (felony) and Resisting Arrest (felony). He was issued a $21,000.00 secured bond and his custody was transferred to the Department of Corrections who will supervise him at the hospital until his release from medical care.

This should be the final release in regards to this incident.
Update #2 DSP News Release: Wednesday, March 25, 2009- Officer Involved Shooting

Wilmington- Warrants have been completed by Delaware State Police Detectives charging Fabian Silvestre with felony Assault 2nd and felony Resisting Arrest. He will be formally charged upon his release from the hospital. It is unknown when this will take place.

Additional information will be released when known and confirmed.

No but I bet hes got one of those cards people use at the grocery store. Maybe a state health card to boot.

I think officers should be reprimanded when they dont shoot to kill. Prisons are full and it just cost too much any more to keep them 20 to life.

The officer could have saved us (the taxpayers ) a whole bunch of money if he had placed the bullet a little better. Like between the eyes.
