Incident: Assault on a Deputy
Date of Incident: 9 February 2009
Location: U.S. 13 N/B at Winner Blvd., Delmar, MD
Suspect: Trevaughn Levar Wilson, 20, Seaford, DE

Narrative: On 9 February 2009
at 7:09 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Trevaughn Wilson for aggressive driving on U.S. 13. Upon stopping the vehicle and making contact with Wilson, he immediately became argumentative and began yelling at the deputy. During this contact with Wilson, the deputy observed indicators of criminal activity and requested that a WCSO Drug K9 team respond to the stop. While waiting for the K9 team, the deputy attempted to get Wilson to provide his driver’s license, yet Wilson refused to speak with the deputy or provide the requested information. Upon the arrival of the K9 team, the deputies requested that Wilson and his passengers exit the vehicle. The two passengers complied, but Wilson locked himself in the vehicle, rolled up the windows and refused the requests to exit the vehicle. After about a minute, Wilson exited the vehicle at which point a protective pat down was initiated by one of the deputies. During the pat down, Wilson became uncooperative and kicked the two deputies.

Wilson was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Wilson was released by the Commissioner on Personal Recognizance.

Charges:
Aggressive Driving
Assault (2 counts)
Failure to Obey the Order of a Law Enforcement Office

2:22 You're exactly right!!!! Kicking two cops and getting released? When a criminal isn't afraid to get physical with law enforcement personnel, the rest have no chance against him. Why is this jerk free?

Dustin vass didn't go up there to burglarize their house, & he didn't. he went up there to talk to jason because JASON THREATENED TO KILL ME. so i'd appreciate it if everyone stops making it look like jason is the victim because he def isn't. threatening to kill someone who has a kid is not innocent. & i don't believe dustin did any of that.

Clarification please....isn't Archie Dennis Road off of Walston Switch/MD 346 - which would make it Parsonsburg? Archie Jones Road is in the Powellville/Willards area. Which road is correct? Thank you

Joe --

I received a text message today stating that there was an amber alert in Maryland for a seven year old girl taken by someone in a silver pickup.

When I replied to the person who sent it to me (Where? was my question) she didn't know. She had been sent it in the form of a forward.

At any rate, I came home and searched the internet websites that list this type of information and found an article stating that there is NO such amber alert in Maryland right now. The website didn't state the exact reason for the false alert, but the way I read it, it doesn't seem to have been sent by the sate of MD.

My concern is for people to stop forwarding the false alert so that this system does not become unreliable. People can go online and register to receive the official Amber alert notifications via text messaging. Thanks.

This is a follow up to a previous post:

From baynet.com (St. Mary's County)

"Despite a mass text messaging effort by a cell phone carrier which went out at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, there is NO AMBER ALERT in St. Mary's County, Maryland. The alert which was sent and forwarded to thousands of cell phone subscribers read; "AMBER ALERT: A seven year old St. Mary's County girl was taken by a man driving a newer silver truck, license plate 72B381." However, TBN investigated the claim and authorities stated that no such case was being worked in Maryland by any law enforcement agency. A follow-up report will be addressed here on TBN as more information is made available. To reiterate, there is NO AMBER ALERT in St. Mary's County, Maryland."

Jason who?
I find it hard to believe that Dustin went up there to "talk"..i mean lets be real..It sounds to me like he went up there to kick Jason's a** for threatening his girlfriend. and when Jason wouldn't answer the door because he was scared , Dustin started to try to kick in the door. Why didn't you or Dustin call the cops on this Jason guy? Thats a verbal assult charge and you could of gotten a protective order to make sure nothing happens to you..Thats what any person with brains would of done.. Looks to me that Dustin is following in his brothers footsteps.. another Vass behind bars..lets hope Dustin learns his lesson or he will end up in there with his brother.

Burglary 1st Degree
Burglary 3rd Degree
Burglary 4th Degree
Malicious Destruction of Property

How can they charge him with Burglary if he didnt make it past the door? I thought you had to break into something to be charged with burglary? shouldnt they charge with with the malicious destruction and maybe attempt to assult someone?
