Two Critically Injured After Alleged DUI Crash
By INNAE PARK -- WMDT 1/1/2009

Two people are in critical condition after police say their SUV was hit by a driver who's been charged with DUI.

On New Year's Eve, Berlin officials say they chased a car that was going 108 mph in a 50 mph zone.

They say the vehicle crashed into the SUV at the intersection of Route 50 and Seahawk Road.

Officials say they also found a loaded gun in the car following the crash, and both driver and passenger were active duty Navy personnel.

Police say five people involved have been released from the hospital.

The remaining two are still in the ICU.

It is now January 3rd, 2009 and these are all the Top Stories for WMDT? I'll give them credit. They at least had the driver doing 108 MPH but they neglected to mention they had gone through a speed trap and this is how the Berlin Police knew they were going that fast.

Looks like WMDT is falling days behind Salisbury News along with the rest of the local MSM. "More News In Less Time?" More like 3 days late and a dollar short to me. It's no wonder so many people are turning to Salisbury News for the most recent and updated news and information. Everyone else is simply making it very easy for us to be Delmarva's News Leader. Sound familiar? LOL Oh, I should add. Isn't it interesting how the Daily Times no longer puts a time stamp on their articles! I WONDER WHY???????

Joe,
I just read in the DT this morning that crime in 2008 in Salisbury would up down 7%. It's gotta be true if it's in the Times.

Wow, is that MY typo? ...should read crime in Salisbury was down 7%. oops

You know, I have a lot of respect for our military personel and all they do to keep our country free; however, I have seen too many times where incidents such as this go complete unpunished by our judicial system because the defendants are in the military. I think this case will be worth tracking to see what happens in their days in court. It's absurd how some of these military "brats" get off on these kind of actions. Like I said, I have respect for military men and women, but not for those who act like this, IDIOTS...if they can't act right on our highways, how can we expect them to conduct themselves properly overseas?
