Rudolph assumed the risk, simply disregarded it, and then went " a bridge to nowhere too far." I always thought that reindeer was a bit of an over-rated, uppity egomaniac anyway (the Kanye West of reindeer if you will).
That bridge was Santa's take-off ramp! She knew where to set her stand!
Barry. If Rudolph would have tabled that pilot ego (which obviously was writing checks his body couldn't cash) and allowed Dasher to fly as his wingman, he probably wouldn't have been lost to hostile small-arms fire from the ground for being too much of a "maverick." ;)
Now -- if only someone would takeout that creepy " Frosty the Snowman" ...
