I remember when my yellow lab was this small!! What a great addition to my family and how true...they love you even on your worst day...and are ALWAYS happy to see you... if you have treats in hand even better.
I just found the puppy picture of my 7 year old one eyed beagle. I now remember why I picked him... he wanted us to take him off the farm, and wanted to love us. He has never broken his promise, and, after all, chases those rabbits with his nose, not his eyes!

I have a sign hanging in my kitchen that says:
