I have readers regularly asking if I know of anyone who sells seasoned firewood. With 7.5 acres of land here and many more wooded acres next to me, firewood is not an issue for us. However, it's my understanding for others they're having a difficult time finding someone who sells and delivers cords of wood.

I know in Pocomoke there are several fine folks who will deliver firewood.
PELLETS:
The people at Survival Products in Salisbury have warehouses filled with pellets.
AND they are not gouging people with higher prices because of the shortage.

This post makes me miss the wood stove that I had years ago. A wrought ( spelling ? ) iron trivet on the top to set the pot on made the best stews and chili. When the coals were just right, some of the best baked potatoes that we ever had. A good friend always saved us some seasoned apple or cherry wood that we only burned on Thanksgiving or Christmas. The whole house smelled like we were baking pies! When I was not using it to cook on, I always had a tea kettle on top with water and either cinammon or cloves in it and it also made the house smell like cooking! I miss that ol' woodstove!

There is a Mr Warren in Princess Anne that we recently bought from. It was $75 for a pick-up load (1/2 cord) delivered, seasoned cherry.

Butch's firewood in pocomoke, i don't know the phone number off the top of my head but he delivers a cord to anywhere in wicomico, worcester and somerset counties and it's a huge dump truck load. He told me it was a cord, but when i stacked it, it was about 1.5 cords. seasoned cherry and other hardwoods. $175.00

I've used him the last 2 years and he has very nice wood. Reasonable length, nicely split, and dry.
