Those of us who believe in America and democracy also believe that we work our butts off during the campaign, but after the election is over, we come together as Americans. The other candidate is the opponent, not the enemy. John McCain understands this. Even Joe Albero understands this.
Yes, we have the right, and perhaps the obligation, to challenge our elected officials when they advocate policies that we disagree with, but true Americans repect the office and the office holder.
It is a shame that there are right-wing whack jobs that do not respect the Democratic process. I wanted Al Gore to win in 2000, and that election was a mess, but I respected the fact that W was the president.

I was one of those guys that wanted George Bush to win that election over Gore but was extremely disapointed in the end by the way he allegedly won. That being said, I couldn't stand George Bush from that day further. Clearly the process sucks and like I've said many times in the past, Americans need to make all of these scams stop. While we watch billions upon billions of dollars get thrown into any and every industry in need while one President goes out and the other comes in is complete bullshit! Oh well, hopefuly they leave my money/investments alone but like I said a few weeks ago in a Post called "My View" they will take from you until they completely such everyone dry of anything and everything you have. Nobody is disputing the results of the election of who won so why are the Obama supporters claiming, bitternes, racism and everything but; show them the documents and shut these loudmouthed assholes up!
Posting copies of a few documents on a private website is not quite the same as having the Federal Election Commission or the Supreme Court putting thier stamp of approval on the President Elect.
The 2,000 election required Supreme Court approval because of millions of screaming democrats.

I voted McCain/Palin, but, seriously, if Obama wasn't constitutionally, legally eligible to be president, I have to believe that the super powerful political machines of Clinton and Rove would have been able to expose and prove that. The fact these two powerful forces who desperately wanted control of the executive branch of our federal government couldn't disqualify him indicates that Obama is eligible for the office of president, He won the primary and general elections easily. It wasn't even close enough for us to consider looking into voter fraud & such.
As an American, I hope I was wrong about him, and that he is able to lead us to a new level of peace, safety, prosperity and advancement of the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Indepenence.
If he does, I will vote for him in 2012. If he does not, I will vote for someone else.

It makes me laugh that for eight years, the left claimed that everything Bush did was a scandal. They created movies, wrote articles daily in the press and on all the liberal news shows, Bush was put down.
Even after both elections, everything was a scandal. We had to recount and recount and recount the recount. Even then it was called a "stolen" election.
Now Obama wins and the right syas "congradulations". There is no speak of a scandal. There are a few who think that something might be wrong, but at the highest and broadest levels of the Rebublican party, nobody is crying foul. In fact, even Fox news has welcomed President elect and sent congratulations.
Where are the Michael More's on the right? Where are the radical preachers on the right? You don't see them because they don't exist.
The majority of Republicans can move on after an election. They can shake hands and go back to the business of government. This is a lesson that the left could learn for the future.

I am not ignoring the letter from the head of the Health Dept for the State of Hawaii, its a step in the right direction.
Unfortunately he is not the proper person to certify that a candidate is eligable to run of POTUS.
Private websites and the candidates websites are not the proper venue.
The issue needs to be "put to bed" by either a court of competent juristiction or the FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION.
The FEC has not ruled and there are about 14 or 15 active lawsuits.
I truly hope that Senator Obama *WINS* and is proven eligable to take the oath of office in January.
The man won the election by a *HUGE* margin and in our democracy that is supposed to be what it takes.
This is a CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUE with the requirements of the POTUS clearly spelled out.
Constitutional compliance is not achieved by letters posted on websites or by copies of copies posted on websites.
Compliance with the CONSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENTS can only be verified by the proper federal government agency; be it the courts or the FEC.
I guess nobody has heard me say over and over that I personally want to give the man the honor & respect due him as President of the United States of America.
Something that none of the people shouting down these basic Constitutional questions have given to the sitting President.

That letter was written by the Director Of Health for the State of Hawai'i... from the STATE OF HAWAI'I'S OWN WEBSITE. Not a private one or a third party. Look at the URL, for god's sake!
It's the only person who CAN certify the legitimacy of the document.
Are you calling that person a liar? How about the Governor of Hawai'i who authorized the letter? Are they a liar, too?
And the lawsuit issues have already been addressed: Anyone can file a lawsuit, it doesn't make them valid, AT ALL. Don't you understand the most simple concepts of civil law?
If a certified document from the State of Hawai'i doesn't convince you that Obama was born in the United States, then you have your biased head so far in the ground that NO ONE can convince you of the truth.

If this had been presented to the FEC or a Court of Competent Juristiction, then approved it would be no problem.

No they have not, that is the problem. The Obama people are all dancing around legal loopholes instead of producing the documents, Passports, Visas and the Birth Certificate (Factcheck.com is not a court of competent juristiction last time I checked) to the court.
The Case in the US Supreme Court and against the California Dept of State are still open and active on the dockets.
