With Gordy as his side kick on his campaign, the arrogance can be recognized by last nights council meeting and Flip & Flop acting like their sh!t didn't stink because no one can do anything about them.
That's right Folks. YOU the taxpayers are worthless. You don't get out and vote. You don't get off your lazy a$$es and participate and like I said in an earlier Post, everything is all black and white with nothing in between.
If you're angry at the City boning you for another few million dollars in the Fire Department, GET OUT AND VOTE THIS TIME! Get rid of See, Gordy, Comegys, Mayor Tilghman and Chief Webster.

The fire department doesnt need the new equipment. Pay the police and firemen better pay. Increase the staffing of both agencies. The firemen will tell you they can work with the antique equipment. The meager pay you give them is barely enought to live on.
Hey Comegys, you fat a$$: show me all the injured fire fighters injured from inferior equipment? David was hurt on a fire truck that was suposed to be replaced years ago but people do get injured on any piece of equipment, not just older ones.

This is politics at their best. A former volunteer and a power hungry Volunteer running the SFD. Three stooges that repeat whatever they are told to say. Gordo greases Bubba's palms and gets whatever he wants. In a few months Gordo will return the favor as his campaign Mgr. The Troll Fire Chief collects a pay check, but can't speak and give accurate information on the issue.
The entire speech is full of half truths and the taxpayer gets the shaft. Firefighters can tell you what is really needed, but the are dared to speak to anyone. All the while thy see their pay and sufficiant staffing go out the window with Gordos every word. They know that some of these units are still in good shape, but can't speak. The catch phrase is "FIREFIGHTER SAFETY". Gordo and See believe that if they cry SAFETY for firefighters that they can get whatever they want. So far they have been right. When you've got Bubba blocking for you its a done deal.
The fire trucks in Salisbury continue to respond with three firefighters daily, when the SAFE standard is four. They are not worried about SAFETY on this issue. You see Gordo is all about toys and he got them last night. The sun don't shine on the same dogs ass all the time Gordo. This tick is on your dog and some day soon the sun will disappear. The Mare and one of your three stooges will be gone and so will your power.
Now isn't this the same POS that went to the city council meeting and demanded the money because he is the chief???

For the record. Councilman Comegys was part of the committee to spec and build the ladder truck at Station 2 that is not up to the SFD standards. It has been broken down and a constant problem.
Comegys helped design this truck in 2000 and did so to put the volunteers out of business at Station 16. Thats the brotherhood he speaks of. Well the truck is 8 years old and clearly shows the man knows nothing about fire trucks. Now the taxpayers are going to let him get them four trucks. Didn't you learn your lesson.
The Volunteers at Station 1 did not want a ladder truck. We wanted to keep tanker 1-1. Gordy threatened to take our charter and worse if we didn;t give him the money to buy the trucks.
For arguments sake, lets say they do need new equipment. Now, my question is why do you need to have a mercedes when a honda or toyota is just as good, but half the price?????? They have all the safety features, are a good product with longevity. I am sure there exists the same analogy and savings in the firetruck world.
This is my problem with the Big Spenders of the fire dept and council.

My biggest problem with all of this is, the taxpayers are stuck with what was done. Even if the room had been packed last night and everyone got to comment - the comments don't come until last and it was already a done deal when they entered the room. Something should be done to get rid of Comegys, Smith, and Shields - what a pitiful bunch to represent the citizens of Salisbury. And yes, I do vote but I sure as hell didn't vote for that bunch and I didn't vote for the stupid Mare either.
Why are we buying new firetrucks in these tough economic times. The Chief says they are repaired and safe, so why can't they keep using them a while longer. Why do we have to have the biggest and the best of everything. I don;t blame the firemen, because they just ride them. The Mayor, Chief and Council are supose to spend the City's money wisely and thats not happening. Will this City ever have a functional council and trustworthy Mayor ?
