While 15 out of the 18 are actually from Salisbury, this certainly was a Hero's Welcome with a Police Escort, Patriot Guard Escort and Fire Department Escort. It was certainly a tear jerker for many and while I have many photos from this event today, I can only put up so much at one time.
I want to thank ALL of you for attending. The arrival time bounced back and forth several times but I for one didn't care what time they got in, I knew it would be well worth the wait.
So Thank You Soldiers for all you do. This Unit trained for this mission for just about a year before they were deployed to Iraq and stayed for just about a year in Iraq.
There's no question in my mind that when ANY Soldier returns to this Eastern Shore, their reception is one they ALL know we appreciate what they're doing for us here in the States. It's a beautiful day in our neighborhood.

I hope that I'm speaking for the many who went to this wonderful event who only knew about it because of sbynews...THANKS, JOE! We were all there, anxious to show our gratitude and appreciation to these incredible Patriots, and to welcome them home.

I have been to one of these events, but not locally and it was during the Gulf War. I traveled to Georgia with a close friends family when he came home. It was one of the most moving experiences I have ever been to in my life. I can't express the emotion I felt during the ceremony. It was truly amazing and I thank God that I was able to attend such an event at least once in my life.

Thanks to ALL of you who fought so hard to keep our country free and safe! You are my hero! You have always been in my prayers and thoughts.
I've been the recipient of a hero's homecoming while stationed in Norfolk. This absolutley means everything in the world to the folks coming home. I applaud Joe for helping to get out the word. I applaud all who lined the route or rode in the procession. I give my most applause for those who gave so selflessly to promote freedom and democracy all over the world and those who fight hard to keep our country free. May God bless you all, and may God bless our military where ever they are.
To all those who came home today from the 115th MP BN job well done. I am currently getting ready to leave myself for a tour and will see each of you on my return next fall.
To Joe, Thanks for getting the word out about my soldiers returning home today. I just wish time would have allowed me to have seen each of them before my departure.

Im sorry I missed this today. I had plan to attend while I was in Salisbury but didnt' check the blog before I left. I got a call saying they they moved the time back. I went to the parade they had in D.C. after the Gulf war. WOW they had all the equipment on the Mall it was wonderful they even had some stealth fighters fly over. If you have never seen on ine person they are amazing. They are past you before you even hear them.

On behalf of my wife and I, I wish to thank you for helping us get the word out welcoming our soldiers home. Even though we had to re-adjust due to a shifted time schedule, we had a WONDERFUL turn-out for our heros. As I stepped on the bus in Delmar and informed them that we had a "few" folks thatwere glad to see them, ALL of thier faces were just beaming.
To the family and friends, my fellow LEO officers, the outstanding Fire Departments, and all of my fellow bikers THANK YOU once again!!!!! Our kids were over-whelmed and truely thankful to belong to the Shore.
How very different the reception is for these soldiers...makes my heart ache all over again for the lack of reception my brother received when he came home from Vietnam.
God, what a Homecoming. Brings tears to a grown man's eyes.
One of the guys pictured is or has been a real butt head, but I thank him from the bottom of my heart. I am so proud of him and I really hope this has matured him.
