I was in Ocean City yesterday walking on the boardwalk when I saw about 20 people walking toward me holding Obama signs and several were carring the US flag.
I couldn't believe it when they got offended after I asked if Obama knew they were carrying his sign next to the US flag, becuase I'm pretty sure he wouldn't support that.
Ah, sticks and stones rises to a new height...LOL.

9:59, Obama would be just fine with the flag next to his sign. His problem never was with the flag. Many of you are offended by the hypocrisy of the mayor and certain council members who say the Pledge while trying to squash democracy in Salisbury and say the Lord's Prayer just prior to doing their intentional trespasses against you. Well, you and Obama have something in common.
FWIW, sometimes he wears the flag pin, sometimes he doesn't. If our patriotism must be rated solely by that, then a lot of you will be deemed unpatriotic because as I look around, I see very few wearing a flag pin.
Do you vote? Do you take time to get informed before you vote? Or do you take your soundbites and Internet hatemails and make your decision? Do you go to council meetings and voice your concerns?
There are lots of ways to be patriotic, including the dissent you praise here locally. Why can you not apply those same standards nationally?

The reason many cringe at the mayor and council reciting the Lords prayer is 1. they're hipocrits and most of all it is illegal. The reason many don't go to the council meetings is they ask themselves why bother? Everything is a Dunn deal anyway. You can have your say all you want it doesn't matter, nothing changes the mayors 3 are going to do the mayors bidding anyway. So, why bother?
