A Salisbury News Exclusive

The GOB Has A New Council Table. While I had mentioned there was a new Council Chambers Table in the works, here's an early view of the craftsmanship from your County Public Works Staff. Nice work guys! They saved a small fortune by doing it in house. The new design will allow each and every Council Member, Attorneys, Mayor & County Executive to actually see one and other while holding Council Meetings.

How about getting the names of the people that built this new table? We could all thank them for saving us money by building such a nice piece of furniture. I think this genuine outward showing of appreciation would go much farther than some little certificate that another goverment official tries to do.

Inquiring minds want to know:

Why was this needed?

There must be a better reason than "so they could see each other" and Bubba Comegys likes to watch "body language".

What good is seeing each other when a majority of them would lie to your face besides seeing someone doesn't mean your listening. Damn I'm bitter for a Monday morning aren't I

Damn Joe and they say you never say anything positive about Salisbury....You must be getting soft as you age.....

Can they make Barrie stop interrupting the Council meetings to give certificates of approval to her friends?

Is there an EZ Bake Oven for Shannie built in or a tap/mini bar for Barrie?

joe I know this is not a related post and i am sure you have an opinion. I was wondering if you would open up a post on Sarah Palin's interview or interviews. I am a Mccain supporter and i am depressed about Palins seemingly lack of grasp of the issues. I know she has to have an opinion about the issues but it seems that she is not allowed to be herself and express her thoughts about the issues in language that is not scripted. What winds up happening is statements that dont make any sense and her repeating phrases that seem to have been drilled into her head.

I like to look at people when I am talking to them.
What they did here makes perfect sense.
Heck, it might even stop some of the infighting that goes on when they know the other person can see them and are looking at them.
And kudos for doing it in house!

If only we could change the calibre of people that will sit in those positions that easelly.no matter how you dress their seats up they are still the most, underachieving, insensitive, corrupt and disingenuous individuals around this county. nuff said?

Anon 11:47. I'm glad you brought up Sarah Palin. Here's a decision making woman who was once a mayor and and now a Governor. Here's a woman who has raised a family of children, and from all evidence has been a take charge woman. The kind of woman most of us are. Then came along John McCain and has practically put her in a closet. Why would she tolerate this? No role model for women. What woman would want to live this life now, after all of her accomplishments? You tell me, she scares me.
