Joe, didn't someone post a comment about a week ago in reference to a delivery man who was lured to a house and then severely beaten?

Joe, isn't that near where they want to do some annexations to the city?

I hope they find these monsters and put them away forever. In my youth, I was one of those delivery drivers and it was scary at times.

Neither of my teens (boy and girl) will be allowed to do that work exactly because of what you are reporting here. The monsters have ruined a decent life for everyone.

poor girl must of been terrified to death. salisbury has changed so much, we really do need to be able to carry weapons. maybe if a couple of these punks were shot they would get the message.

Best solution , NO DELIVERIES AFTER DARK AND ONLY TO BUSINESSES!!Sorry but society has gotten out of control,no neeed to risk your life over twenty dollors and two freaking pizzas !!!!

But there is no crime in Salisbury

I personally was also robbed at gunpoint 2 summers ago doing a delivery, as was my former roommate (not in the same incident). I would NOT recommend the job to anyone, especially considering the majority of the people I delivered to tipped next to nothing or nothing at all anyways. Definitely feel sorry for this poor girl, and hope these animals get what's coming to them. Thanks for keeping us informed joe, and keep it coming. Hopefully one day we won't have so much bad news.

I am praying that the police dept. can get THESE dirty rotton low life uneducated bastards- which we all know they are, off the streets before they get bragging about it and do it again

that's right, bust a few caps off in the punks head's in self defense and crime will move somewhere else. If the justice system won't do it's job then it's up to we citizens to defend ourselves in anyway we can.

you think I'm waiting to call the police? yeah right. sure the person had a knife in their hand and I had no choice but to send them home to their mommies in a body bag.

Close every business down after dark. Lock all the doors. Arm yourselves while you are in your homes. If you can't get it done in daylight, you don't need it.
Crime will drop. You'll save fuel. Your electric costs will go up, But you will spend more quality time with your family. I figure after about a week we would all be so stressed out that we would do anything to have our freedom back, even support the police in their effort to clean the place up.
Salisbury was a great place to live a few years ago. It can be again, but just complaining about it will not do anything.
Some of you know who the trouble amkers are, turn them in.

what have we done joe???

I must have slept thru a comment because I didnt see any racist comments!
With gas as high as it is and people as greedy and not wanting to tip theres no real incentive to do that job-its bad enough to risk being robbed but beaten and/or raped and kidnapped to boot?WTF is wrong with these kids now?

According to the sheriffs dept and spd they have a suspect in custody. This was told after a considerably lax response to ANOTHER robbery attempt on a driver by the spd/sherriffs dept. The manager of the store in question called 911 and the spd and sheriffs dept swapped responsibility for jurisdiction for the area (salisbury mobile home park) where the attempt took place. He was upset and to comfort him they told him they caught the guy who robbed and assulted the driver on thursday night. So if it holds true, good job spd and sheriffs dept.

I agree--good job law enforcement. Now prosecutors, do your jobs!!!!!!!! No nol pros or stet.

Once again, the issue becomes, ultimately, there isn't enough room in the jail for these scumbags who commit crimes against people. The cells are filled with lightweight criminals who could be on home-confinement, thereby saving thousands of dollars a day. Let their families provide their daily needs, and let the warden guard over the scumbags.
Whatever color they are.
