WICOMICO COUNTY OUT OF TOUCH W/ PICKENS PLAN

The weblink previously posted for Wicomico County's purchase of 87 Octane gasoline and Diesel fuel is not in compliance with the T. Boone Picken's plan.

http://www.wicomicocounty.org/purchase/SEALED%20BIDS/MOTOR%20FUEL%202008.htm

The Picken's plan proposes to substitute domestic propane gas as a replacement to importing expensive foreign oil. This is especially true for mass transits as is being implemented by the nation's largest mass transit LAMT.

Wicomico County is not in compliance with adhering to America's comprehensive energy plan for weaning our dependence on expensive foreign oil.

The above bid notice speaks volumes as to Wicomico County's Energy policy.

ALL CITIZENS SHOULD HEED THIS OFFICIAL NOTICE!

how does the amount of gallons of gas and diesel fuel compare to the audit that was performed about the ray lewis mess?

I agree, we should be in compliance with Boone's shedule on fuel. We definately need to divorce ourselves from foriegn oil as quickly as we can.

The problem I see with Picken's idea is propane is just as expensive or more so than regular gasoline. Plus, you don't get as many miles per gallon, either.

Have you priced out this stuff lately?

What is the benefit to taxpayers to wean ourselves from expensive foreign oil, only to be bound to purchase more expensive domestic oil?

daddio , the whole idea is to become independent and get rid of
the dependencey on foreign produced oil. If we don't , we will
suffer more in cost than the lp gas.

The price of propane should be about $1.56 per gallon.

I heard on CNBC this morning - (Boon Pickens himself) - that we have, enough DOMESTIC natural gas, coupled with wind energy, solar, nuclear, ethanol, to wean ourselves from dependance on expensive foreign oil

NOW PLEASE DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN, THEY -(Arab Cartel) - KNOW IT AND THAT IS WHY THE PRICE OF CRUDE HAS BEEN TUMBLING FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS. . . THEY ARE SCARED OUR POLITICOS ARE ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING RIGHT - DEPLOY RENEWABLES.

I SAY THE HELL WITH MIKULSKI, CARDIN, POLLOSI, WE NEED TO BYPASS THE BASTARDS AND INSTITUTE OUR OWN ENERGY POLICIES. INCREASE PRODUCTION IMMEDIATELY WILL HELP IN THE SHORT RUN.

Wicomico County has no clue about deploying renewables.

Look at LA. . . Purple Route, Red Route. . . all powered by propane gas. Ours in Wicomico are still using Diesel at almost $5/gallon.
Pollitt needs to be informed.

Hell, one of our local Delegates, Rudy Cane actually doubled the well permit fees for geothermal wells.

At this point there is no one single answer to alternative fuels. For the sake of national security we need to increase the uses of solar, hydro and nuclear power and in the mean time drill for more oil.

JFK challanged the nation to put a man on the moon, in 7 years that dream was completed. The same country that placed a land rover on Mars and can tell us what the soil elements are and what was in the water there.

Yet we can't fuel a vehicle here on earth without drawing blood?

Ref. Post 1:17

That is a million dollar question. I'd like to know the answer to that one to.

You can bet your ass that Pollitt's ass is puckering to in hopes that no one will will discovery the discrepancies.

Funny what SBYnews has done to enlighten our Republic. All of this would have been swept under the rug under The Daily Times previous rule.

I know for a fact that all county departments fuel at the county roads. There is two tanks one for gas one for diesel and all departments fill their vehicles/equipment up there. But yes there is alot of waste when it goes to conserving fuel. The departments do not care.

I cannot use my name because I work for the county.
