The Daily Times & Ocean City

You would never think there was any thing peculiar going on by the looks of today's Daily Times article regarding the opening of Gateway Grand Condominum.

Does it sound familiar? The Billboard in front of the boarded up units on the River Wicomico had 50% sold-out signs.

anon 8:08 Very well response.Police are held to a different standard than the average citizen. They broke no LAWS and only violated their dept. policies correct, however they are guilty of poor judgement and/or common sense. They are gonna be reprimanded for that.

As someone who worked on this building it amazes me the price of the units. They are no nicer then others I have worked on. Granite and marble do not add up to 1.2 million. The kitchen cabinets are a step above builders grade. A 3 foot deep indoor pool. I am told you can drink on the beach here in front of the building-some old grandfathered clause. Maybe thats what you are paying for. I would rather have a 300K unit and some money left over in the bank.

I heard that over 90% of the units in that monstrosity on Riverside Drive in Salisbury are still unsold!

This is especially why I like reading SBY news.

If you'll notice, The Daily Times article is 180 degrees opposite Salisbury News. While The Daily Times touts a vibrant OC real estate market, SBY news shows just the opposite.

So who do you believe? From The Daily Times track record, I'll stick to Salisbury News.

And the general public will be better off to.

Anon 12:50, your analysis is incorrect.

"While The Daily Times touts a vibrant OC real estate market..."

There is no such mention of that.

The article quotes the builder of the facility, who claims that their units are selling well. Nothing more.

The general public would be better off to ignore such obviously ignorant and biased statements.

Response To Anonoymous 12:50

It Is What It Is. But the slant The Daily Times alludes to is obvious even to the most ignorant of readers.

Fact is, you don't see a Counterpoint mentioned in The Daily Times article.

And you can bet you bottom dollar that SBYnews didn't get to where it is - (MARYLAND'S NO. 1 BLOGSPOT) - by being 'a sleep at the wheel'.

They can try to make Ocean City look like a 'golden goose' goose all they want.

Kind of reminds me of trying to put a moustache on Caddalac and then call it a Lincoln. But that still don't make it a Lincoln.
