The Lower Shore Special Olympics

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Lower Shore Special Olympics and you have to admit, there couldn't be a more perfect day for this outdoor event.

The beginning of the event had the WCSO, SPD and even the Berlin Sheriff arriving with the Torch with sirens blasting and lights all over the place letting everyone know, something very special was about to happen.

There was a fantastic crowd of people visiting to watch each event and the participants couldn't be more excited.

Another picture of Mike Lewis. What would our day be like without a picture of him?

God Bless them all. It should remind us all just how fortunate we really are.

What a petty comment (10:14 a.m.)

Joe, thank you for recognizing all who took part in this. Kudos to the special athletes, the organizers and to law enforcement and other personnel (including the bird!) who contributed to making it a memorable day.

10:14 anonymous, you truly are someone to pitied.
