I Remember When

I remember gas at 29.9! There were actually guys who came out of the station, pumped the gas, cleaned the windows and checked my oil! Those were the good ole day!
Back in 1969, when I got married, there were gas wars going on, and gas was as low as 17.9 cents per gallon. We were in shock when it went to $1.00, and now it is hitting $4.00. And so is milk! Can't afford to go anywhere, or have cereal!
I am not quite old enough to remember gas that cheap but when i fill up now i feel like guys run out and steal my tires and break out a window slapping me in the back of the head when they go by. Guess what there is no end in sight!!!!!
I remember my father having a fit when is favored blend of gas, Sunoco, went from 16 cents a gallon to 18 cents. From that day to the day he died, he only burned Amoco because their prices didn't rise as fast as the Sunoco across the street.
