Cell phone companies are charging $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 Information calls. Since no one carries a telephone directory in their Vehicle, they get away with it.
When you need to use the 411 Information option, simply dial 1(800) FREE 411, or 1(800)373-3411; you will incur no charge. This works on your home telephone as well.
If you enter this number into your cell phone you will always have a way now to get a phone number if you need one.
This is the kind of information people don't mind receiving, so pass it on to your family and friends.

Google operates a free 411 service too.

I have a mini local book in my car and a verizon phone book. As usual I am in the minority.
My fiance and I have been using this for about a year. I love it, you only have to hear about 10 seconds of advertising and then you get your number! We've told our families and they love it too! Like the phone companies need more of our hard earned mondey!

Even better-- 1-800-GOOG-411, Google's voice recognition info service. Very useful.
I have a telephone book in MY car. I have always put one in there ever since I've had a cellular phone. The phone company gives you plenty...or just move over an old one when you get a new one for the house or office...

I've used it for over a year. Always gives me what I need, especially when out of town and the GPS doesn't give me what I need.
Here's a few things it does:
Searches for business by name or type, people, reverse # lookup, Movies, weather, maps and driving directions.
Does it give you information for people who only have cell phones? Is there a listing for Cellular?
Google also supports a texting feature if you are into that sort of thing... just text the name of the business/person's last name and the Zip code where they live and you will get a text back the possible numbers. you just text it to 46645 (googl)

Thanks Joe..I didn't realize this. I will keep thar number for future use. Why did the Daily Rag not inform us of this? Oh sorry I forgot every one is cancelling their subscription these days. I cancelled last year. One reason was I did not get my paper half of the time, also the idiot that delivered the paper kept riding on my lawn.
Thank you.
