Mayor Cardinale was a Howard County school teacher and also taught in Baltimore City and Baltimore County and was President of Canterbury Construction. Mayor Cardinale's love of Berlin and the inter-working of government as well as a desire to make positive changes for the Town influenced his decision to run for the office of Mayor in 2004. Mayor Cardinale's goals are to create a plan for managed growth in the Town, to protect the quality of life of its citizens and to control spending. In particular Mayor Cardinale is proud of his personal involvement with his church, his family and the Town and wants "to be a people Mayor".
