A Bio Diesel Plant exploded just moments ago in Princess Anne, two people were injred and one flown off in a State Police Helicopter.
If you look at the side of the building you can see where it has bulged from the explosion. The Crisfield and Princess Anne Fire Departments were on the scene. More to come.......
UPDATE: I'm told one person has died.

One confirmed dead on the scene. On other patient transported to PRMC. Nobody was Med-Evaced by MSP. Princess Anne, Mt. Vernon and Crisfield Fire Departments were on the scene. MOSHA, Maryland State Fire Marshall and Princess Anne Town Officials also on the scene.
I live right near the hospital landing pad and I didn't hear any choppers. With the windows up I feel like Radar O'Rielly here, "Choppers." I can hear them way before they get here.
It really doesn't matter how they were transported, I'm sorry to hear that there was a fatality and hope that the other victim pulls through.
Kudos to all of the first responders to brave the elements of another potential explosion to get to the victims and get them out of there. Kudos to all, first responders or backup, they would have all done the same thing.
What I do, I would call teamwork, this is truly a brotherhood of brave souls and I thank you.
MSP Med-Evac was called before it was confirmed that one person had expired at the scene. The building, while stucturally stable sustained extensive damage. One Ambulance from Crisfield transported one injured subject to PRMC. It appeared that the explosion was a result of work being performed on a tank that was believed to be empty, however there were sufficient fumes in the tank to cause the explosion. The actual explosion wasn't caused by bio-diesel but from a holding tank that is used to manufacture it.
It was also believed that the two workers that were involved were contractors who were from out of the area. Condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes for a speedy recovery to the one injured. That just goes to show you how fast your day can get F-ed Up in a hurry.
I recall the local citizens down there were concerned about the safety of the plant during the press articles. Could the Town of Princess Anne gotten it wrong?
What happened is a terrible tragedy. It is very lucky that the building was well-built and stable, so it held up to the blast enough to protect the residents of the surrounding town. To me, this proves the plant is safe. I don't think there is any reason to shut it down when it has been proven to keep explosions contained.
