What's Wrong With This Picture?

Does the name A.S.A.P. come to mind when you read from this ad in this years Salisbury Festival Brochure?

Now I did some digging into this and I'm told Brad Bellachicco, (sp?) stated they didn't take any money from Ray Lewis and A.S.A.P.. By the time Salisbury News, (AND ONLY SALISBURY NEWS) found out about their participation, Brad claims it was too late to pull the advertising from the book. Not for nothing Folks, but BS!

I believe Brad placed Mr. Mark McIver in a HORRIBLE position by allowing Mark to put up a letter right here on this Site explaining how the Chamber had no involvement with Ray Lewis and A.S.A.P. and here we are with an ad for that company in the brochure.

Mr. McIver was doing what he thought was the honorable thing to do and he was thrown right in front of a steam roller! That being said, IMO, Brad should resign his position and or publicly apologize to Mark McIver here on this Blog. If he does not, I will have NOTHING to do with the Chamber and the future events they are involved with and or sponsor.

Oh, don't think you're off the hook just because Salisbury News won't promote you. Know that I will do my very best to counter those events by reminding good citizens as to why I have issues with the Chamber as well. We should rename the Chamber of Commerce, "ROBIN HOOD."

Well if A.S.A.P didn't sponsor it, who did? Someone did.

If I was a Chamber Member, I would drop my membership TODAY! I also am wondering who the sponsor is. You're right Joe...what a crock!
Yes, Brad should resign ASAP! (no pun intended)

I WAS going to go to the festival but not now!!! I hope all will boycott this event and every event sponsored by the LIARS. I was told via e-mail that ASAP would have no involvement. What a bunch of LIARS!!!

I'm Linn Hickman, and I represent Heritage of Salisbury, which is a new townhome community on Pemberton Drive....when we heard that there was an issue with the sponsorship by this company and of this event, we immediately asked to replace ASAP as the sponsor. So, the sponsor is Heritage of Salisbury, and I was told that as each act was introduced on this particular stage that an announcement would be made correcting the program. I hope this helps to clarify the situation.

Disgusting. No wonder this place is such a sh*t hole.

I, to, called and was told that without a doubt they were not sponsoring it and that it was just a rumor circulating on the blogs. Well now I feel like a total fool because not only did they lie but they put it in print. The right thing to have done is just trash the printing and done without or just something on a more basic scale. My membership to the chamber will definitely be reconsidered unless they make this right. My family was going down there today but we're making other plans now. It was bad enough to have gang problems down there but now it's being "sponsored" by an admitted criminal organization. Whether ASAP paid or not is not the issue, their name is still there for all to see and they could still potentially benefit from it.

I was a member of the Chamber for some years, as the Library Director, and worked on many committtees of the Chamber, until I dropped out about 1990 or so. I must say I was suspect of this guy they hired as the Chambers Director way back when they hired him. No question, he should resign now!

Ms. Hickman, thank you for your clarification. Have them print up some labels and stick to the front of the program also.

Years ago the wrong person was listed as valedictorian in the Parkside yearbook. Labels were run off and stuck in the yearbook to correct the error. Do you know how quickly these labels can be run off on a computer?

With all the waste of money that goes on in the city and county, it could not possibly have cost that much to reprint the sponsorship listing on the Festival Program. If my business had stepped in last minute to be a Sponsor, I would have DEMANDED that my business name be on the program, not a company that steals! I agree, Mr. Brad B should resign. What a poor excuse. He must be friends of ASAP! Or else some kind of kickback!

I would have taken a magic marker and crossed it out just enough so people could see who was nixed! I still am not going, Salisbury's adminisrtation can go, to you know where.

Brad, Alessi and company can go catch some air.

you people need to grow up and get a life. Ray Lewis has NOT been convicted of anything. Whether you like it or not he still has his rights just as you would want yours. So you few want to cut off your nose inspite of your face. well let me be the first to inform you that you have have hurt NOone except yourselves. The festival was booming when i was there and many vendors cleaned up i'm sure because there was many people there eating and drinking and i dont mean alcohol and having a good time. Just as it should be. Joe you yourself would want to be treated fairly why should Ray be treated any differant? Did he steal from the county? The courts will decide it it makes it that far. (if his case doesnt get dropped)again he did NOT admit to anything you people are being mislead. You keep following like sheep you will get slaughtered. Get a mind of your own and find out what the real truth is before you open your mouths. Many innocent people have been hung because of people like you jumping the gun. Wait and see if he is really quilty. You are the first ones to keep saying judge not, well practice what you preach,

Bystander have you bumped your head? We saw the tires being removed from the buildings on his property. We saw the tankers going to recover what was left of the diesel fuel. County employees admitted to being in cahoots with Ray Lewis and this theft ring. He was caught, face it. He will be convicted. Nothing was dropped. The only way conceiveable for anything to be dropped would be for him to make a deal for immunity in exchange for testimony against bigger fish. Townsend was the big fish in this pond and he spilled his guts. Go see a doctor for that huge knot on your head, it appears you bumped it pretty good.

Anonymous said...

anom 938....Townsends case was closed...ie dropped. The charges were also dropped on Paul and they neither of them confessed to anything they called lawyers and clammed up....as far as the tires or what ever else that was taken from Lewis property, has it been proven that it actually came from the landfill? No it hasnt and from what i understand there was NO real records kept from down there so again how can it be proven that it came from the landfill? You have your clothes on your back. Do you have receipts for them, if not then does that mean that you stole them? Can you prove that you bought them? Mike Lewis himself said that when that truck was stopped it was EMPTY. So he want even actually hauling fuel illegally. You may very well be right about the bigger fish, i dont know. If this is all true then how did a big money number get by the people that look at the reports and po's and order forms? I myself said the same ting. No i'm no happier than you about the thefts and we the tax payers footing the bill behind it. However, let justice be served here. Right is right and wrong is wrong. If he gets convicted then he is fair game. What i'm saying is would you want to be treated fairly? Would you want your rights stripped away because of allegations? Just because it's been said doesnt make it so. The law says that you are to be considered innocent until proven quilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Every citizen of this country has rights. Do you want your rights stripped away little by little? Well this is no differant. by the way No i havent bumped my head. If he is found quilty then he should do his time in prison. But he should not be convicted until he has had his day in court. Joe do you want everybody to judge you or convict you before you go to court? Do you want to pay up on the law suits before you go to court and be found quilty and made to pay before hand? This is the same thing but differant conditions. Are you quilty? Dont you want the courts to decide? Well give others the same respect.

I was working at one of the food vendors booth and we sold out. Not bad considering we brought more supplies than we did last year.

Brad will never resign. This blog does not have that kind of influence on someone of his high caliber. He is alot smarter than everyone thinks! You might want to do a little research before going on the attack.

Bystander it's funny you should ask if someone had receipts for the clothes on their back. I'm not the one you responded too but still found this funny. I just happen to be one of those people that has a receipt for everything. I used to write checks for every purchase now I use a debit card, same thing with same record keeping, less paper to store. I have cancelled checks and bank statements from 1975 to last month. I also have in those envelopes with the checks/bank statements, cash register receipts
for all purchases made. I know it's a bit over the top saving all that junk but you never know when you might need a piece of information. I also have a manual for every appliance, tool or piece of equipment I've ever purchased. I do dispose of them with the item if I give it away, sell it or throw it away.

As far as tires go, there are serial numbers stamped on them and inventoried by the seller. They know what they sold and to whom.

anom 3:13 i thought i was the only one that kept everything. I'm a pack rat because i learned years ago about the time you throw something away , you will wish you had'nt. I'm not saying at all that i dont think that Ray Lewis should pay for his crimes if he were found to be quilty. However its looks like now the case has been closed. The tax payers have been ripped off in the worst kind of way. (screwed without the common courtsey of a kiss) He is still entitled to his God given rights until found to be quilty in a court of law. I'm very conservative and i don't like big gov't. I am also about our constitutional rights, if he is quilty then hang-em high, but not until then. Did he do it? Probably but it has to be proven. Those tired may be serial numbered however, where are the records? just hope that they were kept. What happens now that the cases have been closed on all 3? Time will tell, we will know within the month i would think. I still say that it all goes straight up the ladder. They all had a hand in it, of course thats just my opinion. Come election day we all need to clean house and get rid of all of these crooks.

If those tires were purchased by the county I would hope that THEY had the serial numbers. It's up to the county to prove ownership at this point. Wouldn't you think?

It looks like a trial with a lot of circumstantial evidence. Their charges can be dropped here and again pick them up on federal charges.

We won't know anything until a grand jury hands down a decision.
