THis is funny! Thanks for sharing this. Its true, though. Getting from Point A to Point B is certainly getting more expensive so a tow truck would save on gas. I filled up my tank yesterday at the pumps and it was almost $75.00! The days of just "taking a ride" are over. I guess a hybrid car is more and more making sense.
If you belong to AAA you can have them tow you up to 30 miles free.
I had to have my vehicle towed from DC to Salisbury about 6 months ago. I was a "Plus" member of AAA, which allows for 100 miles of towing. While being towed, I was talkig to the drive and he said it is fairly common for a bunch of kids to call them on a Friday afternoon and say they broke down and want to be towed to Ocean City.
With a "Premier" AAA membership, you can be towed 200 miles.
